 I also completed my assignment for M/s. Century Ply, India, for setting up their FURNITURE
DIVISION. The assignment was for integrating and advising for the back end and the front end. The
assignment completed in Feb’ 12.
 The assignment was for setting up departments and training of design development, training teams,
product basket creation, helping in marketing and sales strategy, branding strategy coordination,
warehouse management, sourcing and product development management, retail store setup and
relevant service training for the teams.

CONSULATANT- RETAIL SUPPLY CHAIN DIVISION July 2010 – Dec 2010 [ 6 MNTHS]
 I had been a consultant for M/s. QUETZEL for their retail supply chain setup which was completed by
October 2010.
 The assignment was for setting up departments and training of warehouse management, sourcing
and logistics management, retail store setup and relevant manufacturing service training for the
teams.
KURLON Limited, Bangalore.
HEAD- FURNITURE DIVISION June 2006 – June 2010 [ 4 YRS]
 The assignment given to me was to setup the backend integration for their retail dealer network which
was already into their mattress business. The design team was formed along with the proto division to
create the basket of products for retailing.
 Parallely a raw material bank was formed, when the inconsistent supplies started becoming a threat
to the network.
 First the teams were created- Design , Operation, warehouse & distribution, QC and installation
teams. The selection and recruitment was done with specific focus and perspective for all the
departments as above. Followed by three months training modules for each one in parallel. On
successful completion of the same the operational setup and implementation was done for two
months on site. Quarterly reviews followed by monthly and then finally week wise reviews were
implemented for each category.
 The second stage of the setup also included the inter departmental procedures and processes
handling. The reporting and the organizational structure were integrated in the same. Each member
has been assigned the respective KRA and KPI right from the beginning so that the focused
achievements against targets are met.
 Availability, Price consistency and Quality assurance was the main objective for creating the concept
of raw material banking.
 Working in the ERP based software we were able to maintain a balance of 1:3 all the time. The
vendors were assessed and then rated according to the component units. We had a warehouse both
for finished goods and components.
 The SCM setup was also worked out for the division completely by me which included right from
vendor assignment to finished goods rotation. After setting their infrastructure for retailing furniture
with Italian sofa collaboration, I was instrumental in setting up the whole manufacturing facility for
Italian sofa. This unit is equipped to produce sixty sets a day and is fully on conveyer system. We also
worked closely to get the JIT for the materials here. These material sourcing was a new experience
as it was much away from the conventional method of sofa manufacturing.
 Lastly the third step was to integrate this basket of products to the frontend retail channel.

GENERAL MANAGER- PROTO & PRODUCTION DIVISION Mar 2005 – May 2006[ 1 YR]
 I was successful in putting an order of manufacturing and proto type unit in the same period. Backend
integration for the setup was done here during this period. I could understand the vendor
management more clearly and closely during this period. Working in a manufacturing unit as the
production head gave me more insight for designing the furniture.

Head: Design (Production) & Projects Dec 1998 – Jan 2005[ 7 YRS]
 In this stage experience came when I was appointed for heading the projects and design division for
Continental Group, New Delhi and was associated with them for five years,1998- 2003.
 During this span I was working closely with Architect Mohit Gujral and for his projects for all telecom
industries.
Few to count on are ESSAR group, BHARTI Group, IDEA.
The interior designing of these projects and architectural coordinating drawings were handled by me
with a team of five.
I also had an opportunity to do the renovation of the hotels in Baghdad in 1999-2000.
Al–Rashid and Babylon were the two projects assigned and completed on schedule.
I contributed in re-designing the interior renovations and coordinating it in site as well from time to
time.
At the same time a assignment was given to me for constructing the entire unit for a modular furniture
manufacturing plant in Noida phase-2. I was instrumental in the project until the last. Simultaneously
I was fortunate to learn on wood working machineries and furniture manufacturing procedures. I had
visited the Ligna and Hannover fairs which gave me immense exposure in materials.
The next few years I was working very closely on designing home furniture and launched a label
LINEA. I also got an opportunity to work out a system based on a German consultant for the supply
chain for the same. Extensive trips to the material fairs in Malaysia, china, Europe during this period
helped me work out the difference in the overall design and manufacturing growth. We had
completed forty eight projects in a period of two and half years.

Few to count on are ESSAR group, BHARTI Group, IDEA. The interior designing of these projects and architectural coordinating drawings were handled by me with a team of five. I also had an opportunity to do the renovation of the hotels in Baghdad in 1999-2000. Al–Rashid and Babylon were the two projects assigned and completed on schedule. I contributed in re-designing the interior renovations and coordinating it in site as well from time to time. At the same time a assignment was given to me for constructing the entire unit for a modular furniture manufacturing plant in Noida phase-2. I was instrumental in the project until the last. Simultaneously I was fortunate to learn on wood working machineries and furniture manufacturing procedures. I had visited the Ligna and Hannover fairs which gave me immense exposure in materials. The next few years I was working very closely on designing home furniture and launched a label LINEA. I also got an opportunity to work out a system based on a German consultant for the supply chain for the same. Extensive trips to the material fairs in Malaysia, china, Europe during this period helped me work out the difference in the overall design and manufacturing growth.
