recent graduates, and young professionals with exemplary academic background, outstanding
talent and extraordinary communica on skills, the chance to pursue an internship/professional
training in the United States as part of the U.S. Government’s J-1 Exchange Visitor Program.
The aim of Architect-US Career Training USA Program is to provide structured, on-the-job
training to the most talented and up-and-coming Architects, Engineers & Designers candidates,
for up to 18 months while promo ng the value of cross-cultural exchange. We sponsor the talent;
you design the world.
Employers pay no program, visa, or placement fees to par cipate in our program. Career Training
USA is a virtually free service to employers. For interns employers will pay a compensa on wage
equal to or more than the minimum or prevailing wage in their areas. For trainees employers
will pay a nego ated salary according to their experience level. S pend for intern/trainee will be
specified in the Training/Internship Placement Plan (DS-7002).

The aim of Architect-US Career Training USA Program is to provide structured, on-the-job training to the most talented
and up-and-coming Architects candidates for up to 18 months while promo ng the value of cross-cultural exchange.
The goal of the program is to match the most promising Building Industry Interna onals and arrange intern/trainee
placement with companies in the United States suppor ng an encouraging their entrepreneurial spirit.
Architect-US Career Training USA Program offers Architecture Studios and Companies the opportunity to test poten al
workers with exemplary academic background, outstanding talent and extraordinary communica on skills. Candidates
are chosen by a Management Team through a thorough selec on process to offer you the profiles which most
accurately match the requirements of your company. The proceduce involves a “pre-selec on” process based on their
academic background, work experience and graphic por olio; a “selec on” process where candidates will be subjected
to graphic & maturity Test Exams and a “post-selec on” process based on ad-hoc interviews with Architect-US selec on
team and poten al employer.

The primary objec ves offered under U.S. Department of State are to enhance the skills and exper se of exchange
visitors in their academic or occupa onal Architecture, Engineering and Design fields through par cipa on in
structured and guided work-based training and internship programs, and to improve par cipants’ knowledge of
American techniques, methodologies, and technology. Such training and internship programs are also intended to
increase par cipants’ understanding of American Architecture culture and society and to enhance Americans’
knowledge of Interna onal Building Industry culture and skills through an open interchange of ideas between
par cipants and their American associates.
Architect-US Career Training USA Program assists Architecture students and young professional from all over the world,
ages 18-35, with J-1 Visa sponsorship in one of these three categories:
- Internship USA _ J-1 Intern Visa
Architecture, Engineer and Design students and recent graduates, ages 18-35, par cipate in the program as Interns and
would pursue an Internship for up to 12 months in the field related to their academic field of study.
- Professional Career Training USA _ J-1 Trainee Visa
Architecture, Engineer and Design working professionals, ages 20-35, par cipate in the program as Trainees and pursue
a Training program for up to 18 months in the field related to their occupa onal background.
- J-1 Visa Arrangements for Internship/Training Programs _ J-1 Intern / Trainee Visa
The Program will facilitate the visa arrangements to those candidates you have already selected, processing and
organizing their arrival in the US (J-1 visa, health insurance, 24/7 assistance...). Find your intern/trainee and we’ll take
care of everything else! Same condi ons of par cipa on as in the J-1 Intern / Trainee Visa Programs will apply.
Goals and Objec ves of the J-1 Exchange Visitor Program
WHAT WE DO
To par cipate in Architect-US Career Training USA J-1 Program, your organiza on must be able to provide a structured,
prac cal training experience, understanding that this is not a work program but a cultural exchange opportunity for
both the employees of host companies as well as the Interns/Trainees.
The primary purpose of the DS-7002 is to demonstrate that the intern/trainee will be under con nuous supervision
throughout the course of his or her training, and will progress through various stages of development that are not
duplica ve of prior work experience. Addi onally, the DS-7002 serves as an agreement between the host organiza on
and the intern about the kind of tasks and objec ves that will be completed during the program. Finally, the DS-7002
also demonstrates the correla on between the training and the par cipant’s background.
The Host Company is expected to ensure that the Training/Internship Placement Plan (DS-7002) is followed for the
dura on of the program. The primary purpose of the DS-7002 is to demonstrate that the intern/trainee will be under
con nuous supervision through various stages of development that are not duplica ve of prior work experience.
Furthermore, the Host Company is expected to provide full- me (minimum of 32 hours/week up to maximum of 40
hours/week), professional-level posi ons for interns and trainees. Employers in our program must create and sign a
Training /Internship Placement Plan (DS-7002) for the dura on of the program, ensuring that Interns/Trainees obtain
skills, knowledge and competencies through structured and guided ac vi es and training.

Career Training USA is a virtually free service to employers. Architect-US Host Companies pay no program, visa or
placement fees to par cipate in our program. Furthermore, It is not necessary for Host Companies to offer par cipants
health insurance, as all J-1 Exchange Visitor Program par cipants have Accident and Sickness insurance that meets U.S.
State Department requirements for the length of their stay in the U.S.Nevertheless, J-1 Exchange Visitor Program
par cipants under no circumstances are permi ed to seek addi onal employment while in the U.S. Working anywhere
else besides your organiza on is strictly prohibited and is a very serious viola on of the terms of the visa to the extent of
program termina on and not allowance to return to the U.S. in the future.
Owing to no other source of income, Architect-US will only facilitate J-1 visa arrangements for internships/training
programs with a minimum $1200/month s pend, and will only offer internship/training posi ons regulated with a
compensa on wage that comply with the following illustra ve minimum wage per candidate’s years of experience chart.
The s pend you listed on the training plan (DS-7002) is the amount you must guarantee to provide your intern/trainee
during his or her program.
