• Sites are used to
store content
– Group by project
• Can have as many
sites as you need
– Can identify favorites
• Users have a home
site

11. Site Types
Public Site
• Visible and searchable to all Network Users and any External Users
explicitly invited to the Site
• Network Users can search content in Site without joining
• Network Users can join by themselves to receive Activity Updates for Site
Moderated Site
• Visible and searchable to all Network Users and any External Users
explicitly invited to the Site
• Network Users can request to join the Site. Site Managers must approve
to give access
• Until a user is added to the Site, the content is private to everyone
outside the Site
Private Site
• Site is hidden until Site Manager(s) explicitly invite users to the Site
• Once users are added, they can view and search content in Site

Network Administrator (Upgraded Networks Only)
• Access to Account Settings
• Can manage branding, users and other Network settings
Network User
• Can create Sites, be Site Manager, and see/join Public & Moderated
Sites
• Can see other Network Users, view full profile and follow other
Network Users
• Has access to paid features for Network (i.e. WebDAV)
External User
• Invited in to specific sites in Network. Only has access to those
• Cannot see any other Network Users or Sites they haven’t been given
access to
• Can be removed from all Site and Network in one click
16. Site Roles
Site Manager
• Only Network Users can be Site Managers
• Can manage Site settings, dashboard layout, and invite/remove/
change role of Site Members
• Can always see all content in a Site
Site Collaborator
• Can create and edit any content they have permissions on, including
other user’s uploaded content
Site Contributor
• Can add new content, and edit their own content, but can’t edit
another user’s uploaded content
Site Consumer
• Only has read-only access to Site Content
