easier and more compliant way to contain and transport solid hazardous waste.
UN approved for Packing Groups II and III, Hazibag was developed to overcome some
of the limitations of existing, less practical, non-compliant hazardous waste collection
systems such as drums, wheeled bins and cut-off rigid IBCs.
The many environmental, health & safety and practical benefits of Hazibags are
being experienced by a range of industries across the UK including construction,
manufacturing, oil and gas and asbestos removal.

Improving hazardous waste management
3. The strong and flexible Hazibag provides many benefits over traditional solid hazardous
waste containers:
· Flexible and versatile
Hazibags are suitable for a wide range of solid hazardous wastes including COSHH
waste, spill response, contaminated soil, asbestos waste and Japanese knotweed.
· Highly visible on site
The orange bags stand out and encourage good practice in waste management by
staff and subcontractors.
· Space saving and easy to store
Empty bags are flat-packed and take up far less space in delivery and storage than
traditional containers helping keep sites tidy, improving health & safety and general
housekeeping.
· Suitable for restricted access areas
With reinforced straps, bags are certified for lifting and are suitable for use in restricted
access areas.
· Immediate availability
Easily stored and instantly ready for use, the bags can be immediately available on
site.
· Reduced transport emissions and costs
Empty Hazibags take up far less space in delivery than traditional containers. Over
100 flat packed Hazibags fit on a pallet taking up the space of four 200 litre drums or
one IBC, greatly reducing the carbon emissions and cost of transporting hazardous
waste.
· National collection service
As a UN certified product, Hazibags can be collected by your existing licensed waste
carrier. Alternatively, Windsor Waste Management offers a fully compliant UK wide
transportation and disposal service.
· Fit for purpose
Hazibags are UN approved for the containment of hazardous waste and come with
public and products liability insurance unlike many other traditional containers.

The sole distributor of Hazibags in the UK is Hazibag UK’s sister company Windsor
Waste Management. As a result, we have the best understanding of collection
requirements and provide fully compliant, UK wide transportation and disposal for
Hazibags as part of our solid hazardous waste service.

sites, the waste stream, and quantity and type of Hazibag.
The safest and most environmentally responsible method of disposal is sought for each

not feasible, we dispose of hazardous waste in designated hazardous waste landfill sites.

“Innovation and the sharing of best practice are at the core
of Mace’s sustainability strategy. We want to be recognised
as one of the leaders in sustainability and we always seek to
introduce innovative solutions which will benefit the environment
while reducing costs and inefficiencies. The Hazibags are
helping us deliver a consistent message across the site around
the way we manage and control hazardous waste.”
Stephanie Taylor | Environmental Manager
Mace
“Hazibags are far more convenient than drums and wheelie
bins as they take up much less storage space and are instantly
available when required. Holding copies of the UN certification
on site gives us peace of mind that our hazardous waste is
contained and transported compliantly. Also, as Hazibags are
UN approved and certified for lifting, they can be opened up
at the point of waste generation ensuring that it is disposed
of correctly. All of this and the fact that we are reducing our
carbon emissions by using the Hazibag make it the obvious
choice for the containment and disposal of our hazardous
(COSHH) waste”.
Alan Zipfell | Site ManagerKier London
"Hazibags have certainly been a good investment, making
segregation a lot easier to follow. What I have noticed is it
makes the Sack Store a lot more pleasing to the eye, as it is
neat, tidy and more organised than previous storage methods."
Will Johnston | Safety OfficerStena Drilling
"After having a review on waste, we realised we could do better
on segregating waste. These Hazibags are bright orange which
means everyone on sites knows where they are and what they
are used for which means better compliance. Now, carrying
out audits on waste, we are finding closer to 100% compliance
across the Group."
