and bridges, as also topographical and buried services surveying. Major project experience
gained with large companies, such as Balfour Beatty and Amey.

I headed up the busy rail survey team working across south England (London – Bristol). I run
track monitoring as also setting out and as built surveys for major Electrification projects such

Survey leader and manager for the multi-million pound rail projects for Network Rail
OLE/Electrification lines Reading – London (CrossRail), Bristol – Reading (GWEP). Specifically
we were setting out positions for the new foundation of the OLE structures, also improving
existing station platforms and other structures and bridges. This involved a lot of data capture in
a complex rail environment, and working to some very tight GRIP deadlines. Also I was a
leader of CrossRail Electrification Track Monitoring, which was crucial task in order to maintain
safety of the rail traffic.
Duties involved advising staff and clients on safety matters, legal conformity, method statement
production, PPE selection and provision, auditing and risk assessment advice. Other tasks
included preparing site teams for new work at other sectors of the industry.
