1. Think Africa - tropical Ghana
Let us make use of natural resources to grow staple food.
Use your imagination for this pilot project :
Say we want to grow Maize (*), the staple food for Africa. Soil is suitable,
but we are in the savannah region which suffers often from dry periods.
1. Drive a borehole for water
2. Solar power to work the pump for delivery of water to a ballon tank 30ft
above ground ( USA Techn)
3. Build 100 homes ( all material : under $10.000) with clay and landfill
material - 2 bedrooms, small lounge, kitchen, shower, toilet. ( US
Technology )
4. Filter/disinfect required drinking water to WHO standard (US Techn. )
5. Pipe toilet waste, farm stock effluent to an open lagoon - apply our
Preventine MLC larvacide (all tested in the USA) that :
a) kills larvae of all Malaria, Dengue, Yellow Fever spreading Mosquito
species
b) eliminates Odor - the attraction for mosquitos to deposit eggs
c) Kills E-coli - the strain that causes Cholera (fecal matter) E0157/H7
d) stops house flies in the life-cycle from eggs to mature into adults.
e) Most important : It drops all solids to sludge level - leaving clear water at
the top, compliant to EPA for discharge to the environment - And
6. For irrigation of crops - drip feed or spray (systems from the USA)
7. Use sludge to work with peat / sand as fertilizer to grow feed for
livestock.
8. Add a water retention material to the soil that will extend the growing
season during dry spells. (Arpolith)
9. Grow a palm oil plantation fenced in for small deer and rabbits
(grasscutters) to graze - no cutting of grass, added manure, less
pressure on bush meat from the environment, local production of meat
for local supply / delivery to the cities.
US Aid with a difference - bring jobs and exports home to the USA
2. We invite substantial US
Aid / Foundations &
Philantropists interested to
invest in the agricultural
sector of Africa to fund this
scheme, take audited
readings of costs over 1
year to enable this scheme
to be used on a wider &
larger scale.
(*) Global market prices of
Maize have risen again,
mainly due to repeated
droughts in Mid-West America,
to over 210%. The USA
exports over $Billion a year of
Pork products abroad. Pig
farms (that I visited hold up to
500.000 pigs) Export second
grade Maize to America for pig
feed to the largest users, in
containers, first grade for
home consumption.
