With thirty years of extensive experience, twenty of those overseas, mainly in the Middle East and
Africa, I have gained a wealth of experience in the construction and fit out sector, expanding on my
core expertise in the paints and coatings industry.

NAGI Interior Solutions and Fit out – Dubai, UAE November 2013 – Present
Operations Manager
Reporting directly to the owner, tasked with establishing, structuring and the sustainable
development of a new fit out company from inception to over eighty employees and workers, while
ensuring that it complies with the rules, regulations and laws stipulated by the UAE.
o Fully responsible for the daily operations of the company, while overseeing the individual
projects through the daily reporting of the individual Project Managers.
o Monitoring the performance of the project against the budget and demanding it stays within
the allocated costs and timeframe, ensuring the quality delivered is of a high standard.
o Management of the office activities, including materials requisition, procurement, financials
and human resources.

2. Danisco General Maintenance – Dubai, UAE July 2008 – August 2013
Projects Manager
Based in Dubai, I was responsible for multiple project sites across the Emirates, with a workforce of
excess one hundred workers, foremen and supervisors. We were predominantly appointed as sub-
contractors to large construction companies such as: Alec, Brookfield Multiplex, Al Habtoor, Al
Futtaim Carillion and Arabtec to carry out painting, plastering, special finishes and flooring solutions.
o Ensuring that the progress is in line with the project program and that the quality of the work
surpasses that of the client’s expectations.
o Develop and maximise the painting side of the business, and diversify it from contracting into
fit out finishing, where the quality expectations and profitability is higher.
o Co-ordination between the Consultant, Main Contractor and ourselves for inspection of the
completed work and to make sure that it met their expectations.
o Ensure all of our staff and workers comply with the project sites relevant HSE requirements.
o During the execution of the works, ensure that the paperwork is contractually in order.

Sigma Coatings – Lagos, Nigeria April 2007 – July 2008
Managing Director
Managing twenty employees with a branch office and warehouse in Port Harcourt. I was accountable
for the daily business, which was predominately sales of marine and protective coatings, to all the
large shipping lines, dockyards and other major multi-national companies operating within the oil
and gas sector.
My goal was to develop the expansion of business activities, into the decorative sector, in addition to
investigating the feasibility of setting up a production facility in the country, while bringing structure
to the organisation, enabling the company to grow through to its next stage of evolution.
o Fully accountable for the P&L and balance sheet, while ensuring that the accounts were
prepared for the external auditing and reporting into the head office in Paris.
o Expanding the customer base, doubling the sales and maximising profitability.
o Responsible for reporting the financials, expansion plans and current business activities to
the Board of Directors.
o Developing business strategies, streamlining and maximising efficiency, whilst structuring the
organisation for sustainable growth.
o Establishing business relations with Dutch suppliers of painting tools and importing them to
Nigeria to complement our paint products.

o We enjoyed eighty percent market share of supply to all Multi-national shipping companies
operating out of Nigeria for both dry dockings and sea stocks.

o Launching of new products to the Nigerian market, such as automotive paints, decorative
coatings and nanotechnology.
3. Sigma Paints – Cairo, Egypt December 2003 – April 2007
General Manager
Based in Cairo, responsible for forty two employees at the head office in Cairo, a branch office in
Alexandria and a production facility that toll manufactured our products in the industrial area.
o Development and implementation of the business plan for the company, while increasing
sales fivefold and bringing the company out of losses and into a healthy profit for the first
time since starting.
o Monitoring and execution of the strategic marketing plan, developed in conjunction with the
Regional head office.
o Overseeing the reformulation of the top ten decorative products to be introduced to the
country by benchmarking them against the top selling paints in the Egyptian market.
o Travelling extensively across the country, negotiating and successfully establishing a retail
network of ten multi-colour shops in one year, increasing brand awareness.
o Overseeing the production and warehousing facility while ensuring the targets set for raw
materials and finished goods were met.
o Ensuring that the quality of the finished goods were in full compliance with the global
international standards stipulated by the companies test cards.
o Managing, sourcing and procurement of local and imported raw materials and product

trained the workers how to use high volume low pressure (HVLP) spray equipment.

Working in San Antonio Texas, I was employed to supervise the finishing of all the painting
wallpapering and finishing to the construction of a Country Inn Hotel.
