1. Pickleball Video Footage
Not exactly like tennis, Pickleball
has some strange rules, but it’s easy to learn and
SOOO much fun! Pickleball Rules!!
2. Pickleball Videos
Pickleball video footage is the best way to find out
just what the heck pickleball actually IS.
But a pickleball video is not only handy for
beginners. If you are an intermediate or advanced
player, watching yourself in a pickleball video is one
of the best ways to improve your game.
3. Beginner's Pickleball Videos
Here’s how you can tell a beginner’s pickleball game:
Notice that these players tend to stay toward the back
half of the court, when they hit the ball it is usually
several feet higher than the top of the net, and the
direction the ball goes is often either horizontal or
aiming up.

5. Intermediate Pickleball
Videos
Here’s how you can tell an intermediate pickleball
game:
Notice how these players come up toward the no-volley
line (the line parallel to the net) but most of their shots
are hit very hard. (This is arguably the most FUN way
to play pickleball, but against the best players, it's not a
winning strategy.)
6. Advanced/Champion
Pickleball Videos
These guys are the cream of the crop!
Notice how low the ball goes over the net most of the
time, how the players move up to the no-volley line
ASAP and how many of the points are delicate "dinks"
until someone gets the ball a little too high over the net,
and --SLAM!
7. Record Your Own Pickleball
Video
With just a digital camera, iPhone, or other
smartphone, you can easily record a video of your own
pickleball games. Just watching it yourself may give
you some surprising insights.
You can record a pickleball video on your digital
camera, smartphone or iPhone. (Or, pay your niece or
grandson $5 bucks to do it, might be a lot easier!)
8. Analyze Your Pickleball Video
Compared to other videos, do you tend to stay back or
come up to the net?
Do you hit the ball hard or soft?
When you hit the ball, does it cross high above the net
or just a few inches above the net?
9. Pickleball Video Coaching
To REALLY improve your game though, and to figure out
what's going wrong when you lose points, you should
have an expert playing review your video footage to
give you feedback.
This is one of the services I offer my clients and I'd be
glad to review your video, too.
