- Another significantbenefit for customers is that everything you need to run your business is available from one company, Microsoft. Microsoft has integrated a wide range of applications to make it easier for you to do your work. Many businesses already have this technology available today, such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, or Excel, so why not take advantage of that with your financial management system? Here are some examples of the Microsoft integration. Your SQL Server database can give you business alerts that will let your database system monitor specific metrics and notify you when certain things take place within your business. For instance, if inventory of a hot selling item falls below a certain threshold, SQL Server can send you an email or notification to your Smartphone that allows you to take immediate action to remedy the situation.Using Microsoft Office, you can move data to and from Microsoft Excel for example, keeping an active link between the data in Excel and the data within GP so data is never out of date. You can even access data saved within Microsoft Dynamics GP from the Microsoft Office applications such as exporting Invoices and Purchase Orders to Microsoft Word, or accessing reports from Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.Users can also share information throughout the organization by leveraging integrations to the SharePoint platform, enabling all users to gain deep insight into the information saved within Dynamics GP with the added ability to drill back on reports and metrics to gain even more detailed information.
- Unlike other SaaS solutions, Microsoft Dynamics customers have a number of choices to accommodate their business needs.Customers can choose to use a Hosting Provider to access Microsoft Dynamics GP through the web, or they can choose to deploy their solution on premises. Regardless of what you choose, you can always switch from one deployment method to the other. You can even choose a hybrid approach where some applications you choose to deploy on premises, while others you choose to host in the cloud.
