productietechnieken, nét omdat deze technieken lokale productie toegankelijker maken.

In de iMade “Fabriek" worden kleine series gemaakt.
Geen enkele stuks en geen massaproducties.
Laagdrempelige instap,
hoogwaardige afwerking
De instap voor de KMO moet laagdrempelig genoeg blijven,
al mag de kwaliteit van het product hierdoor niet negatief beïnvloed worden.
Competitief
met traditionele markt
Producten gemaakt in de iMade fabriek moeten competitief zijn met traditioneel vervaardigde
producten, zowel op vlak van prijs, kwaliteit als beleving.
Geen duurzaamheidslabel
iMade wil niet gelijkstaan aan een duurzaamheidslabel. Wel kunnen producten gemaakt in de
iMade fabriek een soort van iMade “stempel” krijgen, te vergelijken met “Made in Belgium”.
Hoogwaardig gesloten kringloop
iMade producten moeten passen binnen een hoogwaardig gesloten kringloop. Materialen
moeten op een bepaalde manier terugkomen en/of terugvloeïen.
Design principles
Door het vooropstellen van “design principles”, moet de KMO aan der lijve de duurzame en
innovatieve aspecten als meerwaarde ondervinden.
Sector overschrijdend
Het iMade project heeft als doel sectoroverschreidende samenwerking te bemoedigen.
Hierdoor is de iMade fabriek “open” van structuur.
