Collection of socio-demographic data, buying behaviour data, financial behaviour data and
infrastructure data
Spatial organization of collected infrastructure related data
Analysis of socio-demographic data, buying behaviour data and spatial data

Role and Responsibilities
As a data scientist, you will be part of Samagra’s marketing team. In this role, you will be expected
to:
1. Conduct data analysis and design algorithms in order to solve complex research questions
2. Analyze, define, test and populate Samagra’s customer segments from the data collected
3. Identify relevant, effective and useful data like geo-location information, to refine or create the
customer segments
4. Produce insights for the internal marketing team that will help shape effective marketing
strategies
5. Support decision making to help accelerate improvement in service delivery to our customers
6. Support business operations team by providing them with time-critical tactical data analysis
7. Create weekly, monthly and yearly business performance documents after identifying the key
metrics and indicators of assessment
8. Manage and train the team of data collectors and lead the entire data collection exercise
You will analyse large amounts of data sets and construct metrics using various statistical modelling
techniques. Your analyses will guide in all business related decision making by identifying any new
opportunities, identifying any correlations, and figuring out cause and effect relationships.
The candidate is expected to have a good learning appetite and potential to grow to senior level in
the organization.
