PROJECTS: COVERED BONDS & SECURITISATION (Treasury)
Covered bonds are debt securities issued by a bank and backed by a dedicated group of loans known as
“cover pool”. If the issuing bank becomes insolvent, the assets in the cover pool are separated from th
issuer’s other assets solely for the benefit of the covered bondholders. Asset eligibility for the cover pool an
the process in the event of issuer insolvency are determined by laws specific to each country.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To be involved in creating bonds directly out of cash flows from specific assets such as home loan
or corporate loans.
2. Checking asset backed security are securities back by a segregated pool of mortgages.
3. To be focused on Covered bonds requirements on enforceability of the security and the Dat
Integrity of the pool; securitization does reflect credit quality.
4. This Project is to increase the funding position worth of $3.5 billion.
Demonstrate to all our stakeholders that ANZ can deliver quality bonds for future funding programmes.
