External reporting:
- Preparation of Entity’s full set of financials in IGAAP/UK & US IFRS on monthly, Quarterly & Yearly
basis.
- Complying the Cost accounting standards and timely completion of the Cost records and audit of the
same as per timelines.
- Handling Internal & Statutory Auditors for timely & smooth closure of Accounts.
Internal reporting:
- Forecasting & Presenting Business Results/ Working Capital/Cash Flow projections/Admin Expenses
on weekly/monthly basis and variance analysis for the same.
- Providing detailed analysis on performance & Projections of the company for monthly EXCO
meetings chaired by Senior Management of the Group, CMC chaired by local Management and for
Chairman Workshops.
- Preparation of Consolidated Business Plan of the Company.
Working Capital Management:
- Critical planning of Raw material Arrival/Consumption/Closing Stock to ensure the ideal level of
inventory for working capital management and ensuring the higher net back.
- Debtors management and the recovery/discounting planning.
- Creditors management and striving of getting extended free credit for the better working capital
Management.
- Critical review of Sticky assets/liabilities for maintaining the hygiene in working capital.

2. Cost Controlling:
- Continuous monitoring of Costs of production (COP) which is a key factor for custom smelter
- Working with Commercial department function for getting better deals/alternatives/sourcing.
- Detailed analysis of costs by benchmarking with Peers in the industry/Group companies etc., and try
to implement the best practices in the company.
- Evaluating the capex proposals and payback calculations
- Monitoring all Insurance claims and co-ordinating for early recovery of claims
Procurement & Sales:
- Participating in finalizing critical terms of Long term contracts with Miners and Spot contracts for full
year requirement of Raw materials.
- Continuous monitoring of Arrival, consumption and finalization of deals without any disturbances to
plant operations.
- Monitoring the activities like LC opening, approval of provisional and final invoices, hedging of
commodity, assay finalization etc.,
- Controller of Precious metals sales division. Ensuring in getting the best deals in the market in all
terms of the contract by doing the benchmarking of contracts.
Commodity and Forex Hedging:
- Ensuring profit as per pass through model and books of accounts should be same by continuous
monitoring the impact of both forex and commodity movements
- Ensuring back to back hedging for commodity and foreign exchange
- Ensuring proper accounting of Commodity and Forex hedging in the books of accounts
- Preparation of Hedge documentation and effectiveness for Hedge accounting as per AS-30
- Ensuring all the activities are carried out as per SOP and Policies
Achievements/Other initiatives:
- “Project Manager” for the SAP Re-implementation project (New GL and Profit Centre
implementation).
- Lead the team for Implementation of End to End automated “Hyperion” consolidation software.
- Attended MDP Training in IIM Ahmedabad.
- Visited “Atlantic Copper” smelter in Spain for implementing Best Practices.
- Awarded “CEO Kitty” a special appreciation award from CEO for ensuring the pass through model
profit and profit as per books of accounts as same and for smooth closure of year end.
- Awarded “STAR OF BUSINESS” for the best performance in 2010.
- Preparation of “Hedge documentation, Hedge accounting, Effectiveness and Retrospective testing”
as per AS 30.
