SIIM 2023 Impact Report
We are excited to present an overview of SIIM’s exceptional accomplishments and outcomes from the past year. The Impact Report showcases our significant influence in advancing medical imaging informatics through the collaborative efforts of our esteemed members. Our focus on innovation, education, and research has played a pivotal role in driving progress in this field.
2. A Reflection from Our CEO
Among the many achievements highlighted in this SIIM Impact Report 2023, one is my
favorite: rolling out a new digital ecosystem for imaging informaticists.
Why? Because current and future SIIM members of all imaging specialties can now more
readily access, benefit from, and share SIIM’s growing number of digital assets.
What happened? We migrated SIIM data from a legacy system to Nimble/Salesforce
(database)… designed a new curiosity portal, persona-based point of entry
for SIIM (website)…and integrated our current learning management system with both new
technologies.
How? This resource-intensive, two-year initiative was driven by the SIIM Board of
Directors’ vision for growth across the medical imaging enterprise, especially with a digital
pathologist and dermatologist onboard (pun intended).
I could not be more proud of the SIIM staff for executing this massive, new-for-
us project without compromising the high caliber of SIIM’s programs that our members have
come to expect.

Out with the legacy tech stack in 2023. In with digital transformation at SIIM. Cheers to
growth in 2024!
