This document provides an overview of connecting building energy management systems to real-time energy monitoring systems. It discusses Carlo Gavazzi energy meters that can integrate with the Pulse Energy Management System (EMS) through Modbus communication protocols. An example is provided of the Pulse EMS being deployed at a commercial and residential complex called The Landing, with the goals of reducing energy consumption and engaging occupants. Key steps of the deployment include an initial assessment, hardware installation, software integration, and account access and training. Benefits of the system include more accurate tenant billing to incentivize conservation.

9. Introduction
•What does Energy Management mean for us?
•It is a range of products able to:
Measure the most important electrical variables like:
Power, Energy, Power factor, Current, Voltage, Frequency,
as well as Gas / Water Consumption
Carry out the control, the supervision of the power supply
and of the loads in various electrical installations
