4. 3. Job Description / Responsibilities:
A Software Engineer in Osmosys is a role that requires a high level of technical skill,
creativity in solution design and significant energy levels. Ability to understand the
application assigned, analyze the requirements given by the customer, understand
priorities and achieving deadlines is part of the expectations from a software developer.
The environments we work provide continuous learning of both new technologies and
new applications. Interfacing with clients in the United States, Canada and Australia
regularly will enhance your awareness of the world in utilizing technology for
applications.
As a Fresher, you would be recruited as a Trainee
Engineer. Extensive Training will be provided to
you in the following for upto Six months;
1) ASP.NET, C#,
2) SQL Server. Ajax,
3) Testing Methods & Practice
4) Documentation
Depending on your performance during training,
you will be assigned a job in the appropriate
department of programming.

6. 5. Fun at Osmosys
Osmosys is not all work and no fun.. In fact there is a lot of fun all through the year..
Here is a remark from a friend from a Global Corporate after he visited us on a day of
fun.
Dear Osmosys,
I'd like to thank you for giving me a glimpse
of what you are really made up of. The 7th of
March offered me a pleasant diversion from the
cold corporate climate that I come from. I
come from a work place where trees are not
more than four feet high, where the grass is
not real, where the land, once green and
rocky, is now full of deathly looking square
glass buildings, where we drink so called tea
that a machine prepares, and where friends
only talk about the next big house to buy, or
the next job to jump to, or the next
international school where they would like
their children to study in so that they can jump on tomatoes and have fun.
When I saw Thammudu (the journalist) in action for Himsa TV, I realized
that such skills in the corporate world are fast disappearing. Well, we do
have dramas, but nothing as spirited as the ones that I got to see in
Osmosys. Of course, where I work, we always pay a lot of money to call
'professionals' from somewhere to train us on the art of being creative.
We pay huge sums to people who teach us to have fun. And, amidst all this,
we rarely volunteer to serve lunch to our guests. We just eat and complain
a lot. You get the picture.
What strikes me in Osmosys is the simplicity of everything that I see. Who
would have ever imagined to flower-decorate an air-cooler? While we were
looking at the grounds from one of the many airy balconies that you have,
Keshav remarked that, everyday, the moment he leaves the traffic behind
and enters this driveway adorned with majestic green trees that greet him,
he feels probably for the umpteenth time that it feels good coming here to
work.
He is so right.
The future may hold different things in store for you, but please do not
give up that wonderful attitude that each of you so abundantly possess.
