AAID MISSION In order to achieve the ultimate goal of having a community which is well informed and up to date with the ever changing technology, our mission is: “To be able to achieve MDG’s in our African society through ICT, by training, education, and ICT awareness, dissemination of information and promotion of development.”
5. ABOUT AAID AAID is an Africa based non- governmental organization that was established in 2009 in order to create a resourceful hub for dissemination, information, education, innovation & advocacy for research & development in our rural communities where the digital divide is vivid.
6. The aaid hive Structure THINK TANKS As part of our structure we have our creative and resource team.” Think Tanks” which is made up of young university IT students. AAID believes that the universities can be used as ICT innovations & invention incubators. We have very great young minds that are looking for a place to come and express their creativity.
7. The aaid hive Structure WORKERS The second tier is the worker, who integrates, implements, coordinates and puts into action the concepts of the think tanks They link through action the mutual objectives of the mentors and the think tanks
8. The aaid hive Structure MENTORS The queen bee of our structure, the mentors provide direction, links, sponsorship, and a foundation for growth for the think tanks and the workers, and aaid ( error intended) greatly the broader roadmap in achieving goals.

10. CURRENT PROJECTS University project (SEACOM) demand Creation. Develop a creative centre in the ICT center’s in Universities using the IT clubs. Mentorship. Magazine DAG. One laptop per University student
11. tasks Advocate and initiate sustainable basic training of ICT skills in both primary and secondary Schools. Collaborate with Universities through IT clubs to create creative labs to encourage new ideas and innovation from the students. Offer training to SME’s to utilize ICT for enhanced management. Advocate for the use of tele-medicine, e- governance-tourism and E- learning in schools to promote access to information. Provide a link between the 4 p’s (public, private and people partnerships.) through forums where stake holders can meet, discuss and implement IT solutions for our communities Advocate for connectivity in our rural and under developed areas in terms of ICT to bridge the digital divide. Offer technical support to young people and women with Information Technology application for their small businesses Establishing a modernized ICT centre in every district to ease access to information, provide a resource centre for research and empower the youths through development programs for sustainability.
