2. Muar has an area of 1376 km².
The flat terrain of Muar's geographical ground and areas has enable the
extensive use of bicycle and tricycle vehicles as the main and major mode of
transportation in Muar in the early days. This believe to be the main factor
and reason Muar was once the town with the most bicycles and the only town
that requires valid license issued by the town council to own and use a
bicycle in the country.
Muar, like the rest of peninsular Malaysia, enjoys a year-round equatorial
climate which is warm and sunny, along with plentiful rainfall, especially
during the southwest monsoon from April to September.

7. HEALTH & HEALTHCARE
Muar and Tangkak are served by two government hospitals as
well as numerous primary health centres. The two hospitals are:
Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital (Hospital Pakar Sultanah
Fatimah). Formerly Muar District Hospital, which has recently been
upgraded to specialist hospital status and renamed.
Currently, both hospitals also serve as teaching hospitals for
Melaka Manipal Medical College.
KPJ Muar Specialist Hospital is currently under construction
near Muar Stadium.
