2. My main image will consist of a medium close-up of a male with dark clothing
that can be associated with rock genre, the clothing will be mostly black but will
also include purple and green. The lighting will be bright as it means my cover star
will be seen and it will show he is the main star of the magazine. He will be
standing but leaning slightly against the wall with his arms crossed as this shows
attitude which is often associated with the rock genre, also he will be facing the
camera. His expression will be of indifference as though he doesn’t care once
again linking into this idea of attitude. As the rock genre is known for specific
colours that are mostly dark the makeup that my cover star will be wearing will be
Black, Green, Red and Purple, these colours have been associated with rock. I will
not use props for my front cover image. The setting will be in a corridor that is
dull, my cover star will be illuminated in light.
Other Images I will use are Images of the band and the drummer/guitarist, I will
use these to show potential readers what the magazine contains and that it is
centred around the rock genre as the atmosphere and makeup on the photos will
show.

For the issue information that will be on my contents page I will include, a replication of the
masthead, the title ‘contents’, the date and the web address.
I will have four columns, one large and two smaller ones. One will also be an editors letter,
it will be a quarter of a page long. Also, the page numbers will be bigger than the articles
font and bolder so they will be noticed next to the article.
The magazine contents page will have a colour scheme of black, purple, red and green.
This keeps it to the house style as it stays consistent with the front cover and double page
spread.
5.
The images on my contents page will be a guitarist and drummer.
They will be wearing black outfits. Also the lighting will be quite
dark as this gives the atmosphere a sense of rock. They will be
playing and shall be positioned as if at a gig. The guitarist will be
front and centre whilst the drummer will be placed to the left and
to the side of him.
I will have 2 other images of the drummer and guitarist
respectively. They will be wearing the same outfits however for
the guitarists single picture they will be sat on the edge of the
stage with the guitar propped up next to them, whereas the
drummer will be playing his drums.
The shot I will use for the drummers image is medium longshot as
this will allow me to get most of the drums and the drummer in
the shot. Also, The shot I use for the guitarists single shot will be a
long shot, this will be to get the guitar into the shot as well as that
is a key essential in showing the identity of the artist.
6.
The images on my double page spread will be a band, they will be wearing black and red
clothing. The lighting will be dark which fits with the genre and also gives them the image
of being professionals and also widely known. They will be playing their instruments with
the singer in the front of the shot. They will have only a small amount of purple, green and
red makeup as it gives the feel of a rock band and a rock magazine. The props used will be
the guitars (bass, electric), the drums and the drum sticks, keyboard, also there will be a
microphone stand in front of the singer. The location will be a small stage shrouded in
darkness. The shot I will use for this is a long shot, as the band will take most of the space.
Another Image I will have for my double page spread is a single shot of the singer who will
be posed as if singing with a spotlight shining on her. She will be wearing the same
clothes as in the other image, along with the same makeup. The shot used for this image
will be a medium close shot as this will get her face in the shot as well as the microphone.
Also Another image will be the guitarist who will be playing at centre stage. He will still be
wearing the same clothes however we will have the stage lighting as dark to give it an
eerie atmosphere. The image will be shot using a mid-shot, which will allow me to get all
of the guitar in whilst not including the legs.
The article will be about the band and will talk about why they decided to form a band,
what they hope to achieve and were they see themselves being in 10 years. Also, I will
discuss the hardships of forming a band and going through all the responsibility.
