No. 8 Oklahoma State wraps up its four-dual home stand this weekend against California State-
Bakersfield on Saturday at 7 p.m., before taking on No. 10 Oklahoma on Sunday at 2 p.m.
Saturday’s dual is the 15th meeting, and the first since 1998, between the Pokes and the
Roadrunners. Sunday will feature the 170th edition of Bedlam wrestling.

Radio feed of both duals will be broadcast live on Stillwater's own 93.7 KSPI FM with the voices
of Cowboy wrestling, Rex Holt and Roger Moore. Play-by-play and live stats can be accessed
on Flowrestling.com. Visual feed of both duals can be accessed on Okstatetv.com, but a
subscription with Okstatetv is required.
Catching Fire
The Cowboys are coming into the weekend fresh off their first win against a top-10 opponent.
The Pokes thrashed No. 10 Missouri, 28-6, last Friday to pick up their second consecutive win
against a ranked foe. OSU crushed No. 18 Iowa State, 29-3, on Jan. 24, to earn its first win
against a ranked team. Three weeks prior, the team had yet to defeat a ranked opponent.
Meep, Meep!
The Roadrunners are visiting Gallagher-Iba Arena for the first time since 1987. Back then,
Cowboys' coach John Smith was still wrestling for Oklahoma State and associate coach Eric
Guerrero was in middle school. The only Cowboy on the active roster to have faced a wrestler
from Cal-State Bakersfield is No. 5 Jon Morrison.
OSU is 14-0 with an average dual score of 32-9 against Cal State-Bakersfield. The
Roadrunners boast one ranked wrestler in Bryce Hammond, who is No. 20 at 174 pounds. The
Cowboys come in with top-20 ranked wrestlers at nine weight classes.
A Win Versus the Roadrunners
A Cowboy victory would extend the win streak against the Roadrunners to 15 consecutive. A
win would improve Smith to 3-0 against Cal State-Bakersfield. A win would give the Cowboys
their 1,049th dual victory and put them at 6-0 all time versus the Roadrunners at Gallagher-Iba.
A win for Perry would give him his seventh victory over a ranked opponent on the season.
A Loss to the Roadrunners
A defeat would hand both the Cowboys and Smith their first losses against the Roadrunners. A
loss would break the Cowboys' two-dual win streak. A loss would give Smith and the Cowboys

2. their first loss to an unranked opponent since 1993. A loss would also drop the Cowboys’
season record to 6-5.
Cowboys' Revenge
The Cowboys have a shot at redemption two months removed from blowing a 15-3 lead in
Norman and losing, 15-16, to Oklahoma. The loss to OU broke a nine-dual unbeaten streak
against the Sooners. The Cowboys, however, put up the fifth-largest victory versus OU in
program history last March when they defeated the Sooners 40-3 at Gallagher-Iba.
A Chance at History
Assuming a victory against Cal State-Bakersfield, OSUwill have the opportunity to win its
1050th all-time dual on Sunday. Oklahoma State is 72-12-10 at home versus OU, and the
Pokes haven't dropped a dual to the Sooners at Gallagher-Iba since 1995.
Rising in the Polls
The Cowboys are ranked ahead of the Sooners in the polls for the first time since December.
The USA Today/NWCA/AWN/Division 1 Coaches Poll has the Cowboys ranked No. 8 and OU
at No. 10. The Sooners have dropped four spots since losing two of their last three duals.
The Cowboys possess ranked wrestlers at nine out of ten weights, including No. 2 Alex
Dieringer at 157, who recently earned Big 12 wrestler of the week honors, and No. 2 Chris Perry
at 174. The Sooners have ranked wrestlers at five weights including No. 2 Kendric Maple at 149
and No. 1 Andrew Howe at 174.
A Bedlam Victory Would...
Potentially give Oklahoma State wrestling a historic 1,050th dual win. A victory would extend
OSU's unbeaten streak against OU at Gallagher-Iba to 18 straight. A victory would give Smith
his 40th career win and 20th win at Gallagher-Iba against OU. A victory would also improve
Oklahoma State to 133-27-10 all-time versus the Sooners.
A Bedlam Loss Would...
Be the first defeat at Gallagher-Iba since 1995. A loss would snap the Cowboys' 17-dual, home-
unbeaten streak against the Sooners. A loss would mark the first time since 2003 that the Pokes
were beaten by OU twice in the same season. A loss would also mark the first time since 1992-
1993 that the Cowboys were defeated by OU in Norman and Stillwater in the same season.

Getting it Done in so Many Ways
In their last two duals, the Cowboys recorded a 27.4 shot-takedown percentage, which is
how many takedowns a wrestler earns relative to how many shots the wrestler takes. A
rate of 27.4 percent equals one takedown per four shots. Iowa State and Missouri
combined to average 12.5 percent, which is one takedown per eight shots.
Cowboy wrestlers put their Tiger and Cyclone opponents to their backs eight times,
earning 23 near-fall points. Together, Iowa State and Missouri earned only five near-fall
points.
OSU collected 35:06 of riding time compared to 3:33 from Iowa State and Missouri. The
Pokes outscored the two teams, 16-1, in riding-time points.
The Cowboys’ aggressive style caused Iowa State and Missouri to receive 11 stalling
warnings and forfeit five penalty points to the Pokes.
In their two wins against ranked foes, the Cowboys earned six bonus points to their
opponents’ zero bonus points. The Cowboys didn't score a single bonus point in three of
their four losses this season. In those four losses, OSUwas outscored in bonus points,
6-9.
