Blaine: Blaine struggled with her weight her whole life, and motivation to lose the weight for good and become healthier came to her when her son turned one. She needed to be able to keep up with him! She and her husband, Eric, lost their weight with TSFL. They discovered it through his parents, who also have had success with the program and even became Health Coaches. “I am able to walk around at the pool or at the river in a bathing suit and not be hiding or feel really uncomfortable. I am able to move around much more freely and not feel tired all the time! I just feel great in general! Thank you, TSFL!” David: At 420 lbs, David was simply weary of watching his life pass before his eyes. So with a magic marker, he wrote his goal on the wall by the scale; when he reached it, he would go sky diving! And guess what? He did just that! The wall is now his trophy wall. His friend introduced him to the program, and, as his supportive Health Coach, she was there to walk beside him on his journey to Optimal Health. He is no longer a bystander in his own life. He is living it! “Everyone in my life is on the program with me and getting into their high school jeans! The joy that this program has brought into my life expands to everyone I touch. It is a complete blessing.” Linda Sue: Being morbidly obese seriously affected Linda Sue’s personal life. She would teach all day—sitting down—then when she got home, she never had the energy to do little more than go to bed or sit on the couch. She couldn’t even shop for food or clothes. She found our program and decided to order a 2-week pack. Even if she didn’t see—and feel—amazing results, she would stick to it. Guess what? She did, and she has! “I can walk all day without pain. My knees do not swell so badly that I can't even sleep at night because of the pain. Weight related medications have been reduced. I work out at my gym six days a week, and I love it. The other day, a newbie to the gym actually asked me if I was a trainer! I was stunned! Me—a trainer! In May of ’09, that would never have entered anyone's mind! I love what Medifast has done for me!   16. There are four phases in our Comprehensive Optimal Health Program which can help you reach and maintain a health weight. Segue:Let’s look at the two initial phases.(Next Slide)
  17. Before starting the program, people gain weight as a result of taking in more calories than they expend. The excess calories are stored as fat.In Phase 1, we lower your overall calories and create an energy gap between the amount of calories your body needs and what you are eating.After about three days, you go into a fat-burning state in which your body uses the fat stored as an energy source. Stacy: Stacy and her good friend both struggled with their weight since having children. Her friend lost weight with our program, and that motivated Stacy to do the same. She saw results right away. The first week, she lost four pounds and then consistently lost two pounds a week thereafter, which was such powerful motivator on her journey to Optimal Health. She now has the self-confidence that motivated her in the first place! “My husband is in the military, and he was gone during the time I lost the weight. He did not know I was on the Plan and did not recognize me! I was skinnier than I had ever been. All of my relationships have changed dramatically. My family and friends are thrilled about my weight loss, and they continue to compliment me.” Raymond: Raymond weighed 280 lbs and initially lost 80 lbs.
