1. What are the men/women doing? (Dancing, sitting, swimming, etc.) They are all dancing
and drinking. The women are feeling on each other, kissing each other, having a pillow fight,
in a hot tub, stripping, etc. The men are just walking around showing off the women.
2. How are the men/women dressed? How much skin is revealed? The men are usually
dressed or shirtless. The women are in lingerie and bikinis, very skimpy. There is a lot of skin
revealed.
3. Are there more, fewer, or the same number of men as women? There are about 100 women
and 4 men, we’re talkin like a 25:1 women to men ratio.
4. Describe the body language of the men/women: are they sitting, standing, gyrating,
mugging, etc.? The men are just walking around pointing at the women, and the women are
being sexual.
5. Do the men/women have power? How do you know? The men have the power, the women
are doing whatever the men want them to. The women are more of sexual objects than actual
people.
6. What³s the message of the song? For the women to take their clothes off.
7. What type of music is the song? Pop

1. What races do you see represented? Mostly black with a few white people.
2. Are there any dark skinned women shown? How many? Yes, more than 15.
3. What is the race of the person at the focus of the video? Black.
4. What are the black/Latino/Asian/white/Native American/Pacific Islander people doing? All
of the people in this video (mostly black) are in a rough neighborhood and they are just
hanging out. It is apparent that they are struggling.
5. What³s the message of the song? Young Jeezy says he is going to take care of the people
from where he’s from. Black people are the only ones being targeted during this time period.
6. What type of music is the song? Rap.

1. Describe any sexually explicit body language: Twerking, humping, legs spread, shaking
their boobs, lap dance

3. Are there sexually explicit lyrics or messages? Yes.
4. How are subjects of the music video dressed? Minimal, their butts are hanging out. The
one guy in the music video is dressed normal.
5. Describe the relationships between the men and women: Are they long or short term?
Casual or serious? Short term and casual.
6. What³s the message of the song? The guy doesn’t want a girl unless she got a big booty.
7. What type of music is the song? Rap.

2. Are any brand names shown? Yes. Chanel and Nike.
3. How is wealth defined in the video? By flaunting gold and money.
4. Are products mentioned in the song lyrics? Gold, watches, chains, rings.
5. What³s the message of the song? All Gold Everything.
6. What type of music is the song? Rap.

Song Title: What It Feels Like for a Girl
Artist: Madonna
Directions: As you closely watch the music video, answer the following questions with as
much detail as possible.
1. Describe any violent lyrics in the song: There really are no violent lyrics in this song.
2. Describe any violent body language: She has suggestive tattoos and dresses like she is
preparing for violence. Her face is very stern and there are bruises on her ribs towards the
end of the video and she looks mad about it.
3. Describe any violent actions or weapons that are shown: She wrecked her car into a group
of teenage boys, she tazed a guy at the ATM and stole his money, she points a fake gun at two
cops and then forces them to wreck into the back of her car, then she spills gas all over a gas
station then runs over a guy and throws a lighter on the gas causing an explosion, and then
she runs over a group of guys playing field hockey.
4. Describe any self-mutilation or violence: She took pills and wrecking into things with her
cars.
5. What³s the message of the song? Society thinks it is degrading to be a woman and this
angers her so she takes her anger out on men in violent ways.
6. What type of music is the song? Pop.
