      • Alternative solutions offer limited capacity / capability

 www.da-innovations.com
Increased JTAC Training req’t
• Driven by real-world ops & experience in Iraq /
  Afghanistan

• Providing JTACs at platoon level has the effect of tripling
  the number required

• Initial qualifications and currency training requirements

• Contemporary Capabilities a must: DCAS; EOIR w ROVER;
Night CAS w NVGs; Wpns / Inert Wpns drop.

• Close Air Support assets increasingly limited by budgets
  and unit training requirements

www.da-innovations.com
Pilot Shortage

• Driven by Op-tempo and other factors

• Training system limited by ageing training aircraft and the
  need for qualified IPs elsewhere

• Fighter force rationalization has generated a shortage of
cockpits to keep winged pilots current

• Impacts ability to man front line units & train students.

• Vicious downward spiral…
www.da-innovations.com

  or real-world operations.

• Significant cost savings as compared with using front line fighter
  aircraft as “training aids”.
