2014AThe Bellagio Creative Arts Fellows is a high profile program, recognizing visual artists
whose work is inspired by global or social issues and demonstrates exceptional
originality. Established in 2008, the program seeks to raise the international visibility
of some of the most interesting contemporary visual artists and their innovative work.
The Fellows receive a cash award and undertake a residency of two months at the
Center. They also benefit from interactions with a stimulating community of resident
scholars, writers, policymakers, and artists.

4. Berni Searle is a South African artist
who works with photography, video,
and film to produce lens-based installations
that stage narratives connected to history,
memory, and place. Often politically and
socially engaged, Searle’s work also draws
on the universal emotions associated with

Wu Tsang is a Los Angeles based artist, filmmaker, and performer.
Tsang was named one of Filmmaker Magazine’s “25 New Faces
of Independent Film” in 2012, and is a Film Independent Project
Involve alum. His first feature WILDNESS won awards including
the Grand Jury Prize for Outstanding Documentary at Outfest 2012.
