October 2011

Dear Friends,

Cannes, Monaco, and more recently Genoa, the three major events
of the autumn season have only just ended and we are already
turning our attention to the Fort Lauderdale show which opens on
October 27th. Signaling the start of the season in the States, it is
a huge event in the world of yachting and the opportunity for our
Group to present the Italyachts 43 m.

In this newsletter we will be returning to each of the early autumn
shows, in particular Cannes and Monaco.
We had the pleasure of meeting you at our stands, notably the one
in Cannes, designed with the Group’s new colors.

This October edition will also paint you the portrait of charismatic
man, Kamel Fekhart, director of the Gérard Rodriguez Shipyard (located in Golfe
Juan), whose passion and commitment are reflections of the values guiding the
Rodriguez Group.

We hope you enjoy reading this month’s newsletter.
Yours sincerely,

                                                                 Eric de Saintdo
                                              Chairman of the Management Board
CLOSE-Up On a MajOR EvEnT In ThE WORLD OF YaChTInG.

From 6th to 11th September 2011, we exhibited at the Cannes Show eight new
yachts in the vieux port and four second-hand boats in port Canto, where you were
also able to meet the members of our Camper & nicholsons teams. They were
there showing close to a dozen or so large vessels.

The magic of this 34th Festival International de la plaisance de Cannes contributed to
making these few days an unforgettable week which was the opportunity to welcome
our partners and naturally our customers in a superb setting: our stand both arm
and modern, displayed the new identity of the Rodriguez Group. Its vibrant colors
enabled you to discover (or rediscover) the Group’s new image resolutely turned
toward design and elegance.
Find the vessels you visited, as well as their specifications, such as the SD 92 and
40 alloy by Sanlorenzo, or the brand new 32 and 43 m just out of the Italyachts
shipyards.

From 21st to 24th September, the Rodriguez Group was present alongside Sanlorenzo
at the 21st Monaco Yacht Show showing some of its finest yachts: the Italyachts
43 m “Elsea”, the Sanlorenzo 46 Steel “Rêve d’or” and 40 alloy “Scorpion”.
as for Camper & nicholsons, it presented the 60 m “Blue Eyes London”, the 55.5 m
“Drizzle”, the 50 m “Tj Esperanza”, 44 m “My petra”, 62.5 m “Icon”, as well as the
“QM of London”, “Marflow” and “Enterprise”.

The big names in pleasure boating were gathered together on
the Italian coast from 1st to 9th October 2011. The Genoa Boat
Show, one of the three most-visited shows in Europe, displayed
yachts for the delight of a very Italian clientele.

present at this event, alongside its partner Sanlorenzo, the
Rodriguez Group had the honor of presenting the jewels of the
Italian shipyard, in particular: the SL 62, SL 72, SL 82, SL 88,
SL 94, SL 104, as well as the SD 92 and SD 122.

This exhibition is a very intense moment for us, because the SL 94
was chosen “Best Boat of the Year”. You will discover more
about the award further on in the newsletter.
ThE SL 94, BRanD nEW anD aLREaDY “BEST BOaT OF ThE YEaR”.

This autumn’s big event was the preview of the SL 94, officially launched by
Sanlorenzo during the Monaco Yacht Show, on September 23rd at the Monaco
Yacht Club. The vessel won the best “Superyacht” award at the 51st Genoa Boat
Show. The judges from the magazine vela & Motore awarded it the “Best Boat of
the Year 2O11”, in the Superyacht category exhibited at the Genoa show.

Composed of yacht designers, experts from the world of yachting and university
professors, the jury was motivated by the yacht’s intrinsic qualities: “an innovative
yacht produced by a shipyard accustomed to unexaggerated beauty; a yacht for
enjoying the waves in the strictest elegance, with solutions offering more comfort
and privacy to the yacht owner and his guests.”

The SL 94 is the latest addition to the Sanlorenzo range. Represented exclusively
by the Rodriguez Group in France and Monaco, in its conception it has the unique
Sanlorenzo line while at the same benefiting from a new design. Greatly inspired
by the SL 104 which brought a change in the Sanlorenzo style, the SL 94 differs on
the outside by rectangular portholes and wide windows along the main deck, giving
it a very contemporary profile and letting in natural light. The line of this yacht
exudes accentuated power, particularly by the vigorous stanchions supporting the
rear part of the flying bridge. One of its main features however is its huge terrace
fitted out for sunbathing. As for the interior decoration of the first hull, shown at
Monaco, was designed by Francesco paszkowski. The owner chose a modern sober
style, enriched by a wide variety of materials…
The undeniable elegance of this yacht is due to a mixture of creative spirit, as well
as to the shipbuilder’s tradition of “custom design”.

                  WORLDWIDE ExCLUSIvITY.

We are pleased to announce that following the Monaco Yacht Show, Eric de Saintdo
had the privilege of signing a worldwide exclusivity agreement between Camper &
nicholsons and Wider Yachts for the Wider 150’.

Wider was founded by Tilli antonelli, one of the most dynamic entrepreneurs in the
international marine industry. Founder and former president of the pershing brand,
this man, a friend of Eric de Saintdo for over ten years now, has a philosophy
based on fundamental values: passion, creativity and a constant search for new
concepts.

The fruit of Tilli antonelli and his designer Fulvio Di Simoni, the Wider 150’ corresponds
perfectly to this philosophy. a real revolution in its category, it combines superior
performance in terms of conception, design, versatility of the various zones and
speed, with extremely low fuel consumption for a yacht of this size.
Its strength lies in its hybrid propulsion system (diesel/electric), which allows it to
embody the concept of energy conservation.

Every detail of the yacht was designed so that those on board feel they are truly in
touch with the great outdoors: the large windows that open onto each deck create
bright and airy interiors; the size and shape of the stern contribute enormously to
the pleasure of living in close contact with the sea.

The entire project, whether it concerns the interior layout, the design of the hull
and superstructure, right up to certain technical choices, focuses on achieving the
best possible integration between the boat and the sea, from the standpoint of
environmental impact as well as comfort and life on board.

“TO SERvE EvERY OnE OF OUR CUSTOMERS WITh ThE SaME
hIGh STanDaRDS” ThaT IS ThE MOTTO OF KaMEL FEKhaRT,
DIRECTOR OF ThE GéRaRD RODRIGUEz ShIpYaRD.

Kamel Fekhart is one of those men who have grown up with their business. joining
the Rodriguez Group as a crane operator 18 years ago, he then entered the
after-Sales Service department, which he managed for 10 years, before working
at the Gérard Rodriguez Shipyard of which he recently became the Director.
he rose through the ranks one by one, thanks to his passion and work philosophy,
inherent to those of the Group. he explains it very well himself: “Customer
satisfaction has always been my priority. It is important for me to combine technical
mastery with a sense of service, because the customers must have every reason
to put their trust in us.”

Upon becoming the Shipyard director a year ago, he set himself a mission: enhance
what makes the reputation throughout Mediterranean basin of this mecca for
preparation and maintenance. 7,000 square meters are dedicated to all the trades,
from leather upholstery to electronics, to mechanics, painting, woodwork and
hydraulics… Kamel believes that to reach his objective, you have to let your passion
express itself: “Every time, no matter what the make of the 600 boats, per year,
that we are responsible for, we work with the same high standards that every one
of our customers has a right to expect.”

heavily involved in the renewal policy of the Group, and alongside the new
management, Kamel has continued to develop the philosophy shared by all:
“For all of us, welcoming the customer is already a commercial transaction”. he
explains that: “Kindness, attentiveness, availability, the small gestures, the
material made available to the customer, the exchange with professionals, these
are the normal attentions that should be given to every customer.” Kamel has a
real sense of service and it is probably for that reason the customers appreciate
him so much. he adds in conclusion: “We do everything possible to make the
customer feel welcome, and even if he is at a shipyard, we want him to feel at
home”.
