Introductory remarks

President Tapan Rao welcomed members to the
first meeting of “World Understanding Month”
celebrated by Rotarians in the month of February.
He added that Rotary came into existence on 23rd
February 1905 and to commemorate this event, a
World Understanding and Peace Day Dinner will
be held at the Mandarin Orchard Hotel, hosted by
the Club. President Tapan advised that the
expected Guest of Honour was the President of
Singapore.
He was pleased to welcome the Speaker, none
other than our member, Rtn. Phillip Overmyer.
