STEPS IN MAKING A
CAREER CHANGE
Leaving a job can be
very stressful and
complicated. Just think
about the many years
of service you have
rendered to your
organization, all the
activities, routines and
friends you will miss
once you hand the resignation letter to your boss. But
change is inevitable and certain circumstances leave
us with no choice but to change careers and to start
all over again. Worry no more because there are
steps you can follow in making a successful career
change.
1. Assess your current career situation – If
you feel unhappy for a long time and you have so
many concerns that are still not addressed, and feel
that nothing is ever going to happen to your career
then perhaps it is time to leave after being
unappreciated and stressed out for a long time. These
emotions are going to get you in the long run so free
yourself from all the hassle and worries.
2. Assess your skills – when you think of a
career change, always consider your knowledge and
skills because these will help you make a successful
change into another organization where you would
become a valuable asset. Changing your career
without knowing what interests you and what you
are capable of doing could be a disaster. You wouldn’t
want to hop from one job to another all the time.
Always emphasize your values and let your principles
guide you before shifting careers.
3. Check for options - talk to your family and
friends and ask for an advice about new career
possibilities by letting them know your abilities,
interests and your values in life. Talking to them
about your plans could give you an insight about
other possibilities as well as the advantages and
disadvantages from making a career change.
4. Explore other careers – take time to
compare and learn about other careers that could
possibly work for you and research on it. Identify the
skills needed before focusing on your options.
5. Research on your top option - you need to
interact with the people who have been on this
career for decades just to give you an idea on how
everything works and what you must do to start in
that career. This one of the most important steps you
need to do if you are aiming for a smooth career
transition. You could also spend time with these
people to become familiar on the tasks needed from
you so you could determine if you will pursue the
career or look for another one.
6. Develop new skills – take time to improve
your skills to prepare you for this change. You could
enroll in short courses or training programs
sponsored by your company. Always look for ways to
improve yourself to impress potential employers in
the future.
Despite all the challenges, a career change could be
the most rewarding thing you could ever experience.
Consider it as an early Christmas present since you
are looking for ways to improve as a person and to
make yourself happy in the process. These tips will
help make the change as convenient as possible.

HOW TO FIND
FULFILLMENT IN
YOUR JOB
Going home tired and stressed is normal for a
hardworking employee compared to those who are
just taking it easy in the office. Of course, we want to
give our best shot when we are working in the hopes
of getting promoted one day and a chance to receive a
better pay. But more often than not, we end up
becoming workaholic because the demands of our job
require more time away from our families and more
time with the people we don’t even get along with in
the office. If you are serious about your duties and
responsibilities then you still give an excellent
performance at the end of the day because you are a
true professional.
However, there is no need for you to suffer just
because you are not happy with your job and you are
constantly stressed because you are loner and prefer
to read books on your breaks rather than to sit and
have a chat with your officemates. There is a way to
end your miserable life in the company and find
fulfillment in your job without leaving the 4 corners
of the office. The key to live a balanced and happy life
is you: open your eyes and appreciate what you have.
Here are the 5 simple steps on how to find fulfillment
in your career:
1. Count your blessings – start by taking time
to reflect on your accomplishments and future goals.
Appreciate what you have now and be thankful that
you have a job while others have none.
2. Learn to love your job – you know it would
be hard to love something you hate but you can’t stay
like this forever and leaving your job is not an option
because it would all be too complicated to do. Find
something about your job that you have even the
slightest fondness of and start from there. Think of
positive things and you will realize that you are even
lucky to be in that position.
3. Talk - there is no harm in talking and
reaching out to your colleagues. Start by a simple hi
and work your way until you learn something from
one another. Remember that these people are like
your family, they are with you half of the time and it
wouldn’t hurt to interact with them every once in a
while.
4. Work on projects that inspire you – if there
are certain tasks that you like which are assigned to
your other colleague, offer assistance to motivate and
inspire you more on what you can do for the
company.
5. Breathe – when things are too hard to
handle, breathe in and breathe out. This will help you
relieve stress and enable you to think clearly.
Career opportunities reveal themselves when you
have found fulfillment in your career, and because
you are content with your job, you are able to
perform well and have already developed meaningful
relationships with your colleagues. In return you will
become one of the company’s valuable assets and
soon, a candidate for a well-deserved promotion.

Career planning knows no
time and boundaries, and
for all we know, it is a
continuous process no
matter how successful or
confused we are with our
current jobs. It helps us
learn new things and
develop to be the best
person that we can be no
matter where we are in our

lives right now. Some people start planning their
careers even at a young age and whether what
happens next is desirable or not, they just keep on
going until they reach their goals. The key in career
planning is to always, always follow your heart
because it will always be about you and your
happiness in the end.
There are times when no matter how much you plan
your career, you end up and still stuck in a career
you hate, feeling like you go to a prison cell every day.
But then again, it is entirely up to you to turn it all
around and make your current job a fulfilling one.
The question is how? Yes, there are people who are
content to be regular employees, no positions
whatsoever and then there are those who are called
the lucky ones, the ones on top, the executives who
can command any given time of the day. And there
are those who are in the middle, the managers who
are responsible for making sure that the regular
employees do their jobs well yet still report to the
executives at the end of the day. If the operation
didn’t do well, they will have to answer to the big
bosses. They have people reporting to them and they
act as the people in between who relay information
from the regular employees to the top executives.
Their jobs are probably the most difficult yet they
remain underrated.
The job of middle managers is very stressful that is
why you would normally hear them complain and
some work very hard to get promoted to escape the
tremendous demands of their job. Now, you naturally
have an option to switch careers to find fulfillment or
to stay in the same company with the same goal. It is
entirely up to you. Mind setting and changing your
perspectives can definitely help but if these won’t be
able to help you, we have here some tips on how to
find fulfillment in your career. At least you know
where and how to start.
1. Explore – explore not just your options but
the company and the people you work with. Take
time to reflect about yourself and your current
situation, there must be a reason why you are holding
on to that job for so long. Think of the many
possibilities where you might learn to love your job,
but if you really don’t, explore other options or
careers that spark your interest enough to make you
switch to it.
2. Prepare yourself – invest on trainings and
courses that will enhance your skills and make you in
demand in the workforce. This will speed up your
dream for a promotion.
3. Overcome your weaknesses – work on your
fears and weaknesses, try to overcome them slowly
to achieve your maximum potential as a person, a
worker, and as a friend.
4. Plan a strategy – once you identify what you
really want to do, focus on that, write down a
strategic plan to achieve your goal whether it is
switching to another company or stay in the current
one.
The way to a fulfilling career is entirely up to you
because you are in total control of your body and
mind and you can do whatever you choose to do. So
always follow your heart and never give up to live the
life you have always wanted.

Just think about the many years of service you have rendered to your organization, all the activities, routines and friends you will miss once you hand the resignation letter to your boss. But change is inevitable and certain circumstances leave us with no choice but to change careers and to start all over again. Worry no more because there are steps you can follow in making a successful career change. 1. Assess your current career situation – If you feel unhappy for a long time and you have so many concerns that are still not addressed, and feel that nothing is ever going to happen to your career then perhaps it is time to leave after being unappreciated and stressed out for a long time. These emotions are going to get you in the long run so free yourself from all the hassle and worries. 2. Assess your skills – when you think of a career change, always consider your knowledge and skills because these will help you make a successful change into another organization where you would become a valuable asset. Changing your career without knowing what interests you and what you are capable of doing could be a disaster. You wouldn’t want to hop from one job to another all the time. Always emphasize your values and let your principles guide you before shifting careers. 3. Check for options - talk to your family and friends and ask for an advice about new career possibilities by letting them know your abilities, interests and your values in life. Talking to them about your plans could give you an insight about other possibilities as well as the advantages and disadvantages from making a career change. 4. Explore other careers – take time to compare and learn about other careers that could possibly work for you and research on it. Identify the skills needed before focusing on your options. 5. Research on your top option - you need to interact with the people who have been on this career for decades just to give you an idea on how everything works and what you must do to start in that career. This one of the most important steps you need to do if you are aiming for a smooth career transition. You could also spend time with these people to become familiar on the tasks needed from you so you could determine if you will pursue the career or look for another one. 6. Develop new skills – take time to improve your skills to prepare you for this change. You could enroll in short courses or training programs sponsored by your company. Always look for ways to improve yourself to impress potential employers in the future. Despite all the challenges, a career change could be the most rewarding thing you could ever experience. Consider it as an early Christmas present since you are looking for ways to improve as a person and to make yourself happy in the process. Of course, we want to give our best shot when we are working in the hopes of getting promoted one day and a chance to receive a better pay. But more often than not, we end up becoming workaholic because the demands of our job require more time away from our families and more time with the people we don’t even get along with in the office. If you are serious about your duties and responsibilities then you still give an excellent performance at the end of the day because you are a true professional. However, there is no need for you to suffer just because you are not happy with your job and you are constantly stressed because you are loner and prefer to read books on your breaks rather than to sit and have a chat with your officemates. There is a way to end your miserable life in the company and find fulfillment in your job without leaving the 4 corners of the office. The key to live a balanced and happy life is you: open your eyes and appreciate what you have. Here are the 5 simple steps on how to find fulfillment in your career: 1. Count your blessings – start by taking time to reflect on your accomplishments and future goals. Appreciate what you have now and be thankful that you have a job while others have none. 2. Learn to love your job – you know it would be hard to love something you hate but you can’t stay like this forever and leaving your job is not an option because it would all be too complicated to do. Find something about your job that you have even the slightest fondness of and start from there. Think of positive things and you will realize that you are even lucky to be in that position. 3. Talk - there is no harm in talking and reaching out to your colleagues. Start by a simple hi and work your way until you learn something from one another. Remember that these people are like your family, they are with you half of the time and it wouldn’t hurt to interact with them every once in a while. 4. Work on projects that inspire you – if there are certain tasks that you like which are assigned to your other colleague, offer assistance to motivate and inspire you more on what you can do for the company. 5. Breathe – when things are too hard to handle, breathe in and breathe out. This will help you relieve stress and enable you to think clearly. Career opportunities reveal themselves when you have found fulfillment in your career, and because you are content with your job, you are able to perform well and have already developed meaningful relationships with your colleagues. In return you will become one of the company’s valuable assets and soon, a candidate for a well-deserved promotion. ON THE WAY TO A FULFILLING CAREER Career planning knows no time and boundaries, and for all we know, it is a continuous process no matter how successful or confused we are with our current jobs. It helps us learn new things and develop to be the best person that we can be no matter where we are in our

Some people start planning their careers even at a young age and whether what happens next is desirable or not, they just keep on going until they reach their goals. The key in career planning is to always, always follow your heart because it will always be about you and your happiness in the end. There are times when no matter how much you plan your career, you end up and still stuck in a career you hate, feeling like you go to a prison cell every day. But then again, it is entirely up to you to turn it all around and make your current job a fulfilling one. The question is how? Yes, there are people who are content to be regular employees, no positions whatsoever and then there are those who are called the lucky ones, the ones on top, the executives who can command any given time of the day. And there are those who are in the middle, the managers who are responsible for making sure that the regular employees do their jobs well yet still report to the executives at the end of the day. If the operation didn’t do well, they will have to answer to the big bosses. They have people reporting to them and they act as the people in between who relay information from the regular employees to the top executives. Their jobs are probably the most difficult yet they remain underrated. The job of middle managers is very stressful that is why you would normally hear them complain and some work very hard to get promoted to escape the tremendous demands of their job. Now, you naturally have an option to switch careers to find fulfillment or to stay in the same company with the same goal. It is entirely up to you. Mind setting and changing your perspectives can definitely help but if these won’t be able to help you, we have here some tips on how to find fulfillment in your career. At least you know where and how to start. 1. Explore – explore not just your options but the company and the people you work with. Take time to reflect about yourself and your current situation, there must be a reason why you are holding on to that job for so long. Think of the many possibilities where you might learn to love your job, but if you really don’t, explore other options or careers that spark your interest enough to make you switch to it. 2. Prepare yourself – invest on trainings and courses that will enhance your skills and make you in demand in the workforce. This will speed up your dream for a promotion. 3. Overcome your weaknesses – work on your fears and weaknesses, try to overcome them slowly to achieve your maximum potential as a person, a worker, and as a friend. 4. Plan a strategy – once you identify what you really want to do, focus on that, write down a strategic plan to achieve your goal whether it is switching to another company or stay in the current one. The way to a fulfilling career is entirely up to you because you are in total control of your body and mind and you can do whatever you choose to do. So always follow your heart and never give up to live the life you have always wanted.
