2. “TO KNOW AND NOT TO DO, IS NOT TO KNOW” How is a leader? Average leaders play checkers( all the pieces are uniform) Great leaders play chess ( each piece moves in different way) Great leaders should have controlling insight (situational role to play)

3. What is Leadership?Leadership - is a choice, - not a position TWO-PART FRAMEWORK To find one’s voice Inspire others to find theirs Is the path of greatness Unleashing and realizing Sequential growth from the inside out.

4. HENCE: Find this voice / Inspire others to find theirs Focus (path finding role to play to unite them as a complementary team) Discover Create a common vision in the team Express Aligning with them Execution of the vision

5. INSPIRATIONAL LEADERSHIP A leader, only when Followers? A dealer in hope Not a mystery, look around and find many leaders (created by people / teams) Great challenge is self-management Commitment for a purpose brings energy level high A long journey –(question who am ‘I?’) Reward is opportunity given to do that work I AM THAT WHAT YOU ARE.

6. WHAT TO DO TO BE INSPIRATIONAL ? A) TO BUILD MOMENTUM IN THE FOLLOWERS Let them teach you something, anything (Lincon, Gandhi) Find followers’ positive strength / support Verify the above regularly Measure the time from ‘decision to action’ Ask “how did you do that” ? Support every act till it reaches steady Make the above into process & procedure

7. B) TO DEVELOP ABOVE MOMENTUM INTO COMMITMENT Record commitments made to all stakeholders Track the achievement every week Make smaller commitments Recognize all who met their commitments Celebrate the completions - Continue

Make the best an emotional appeal Way out to analyze progress towards the vision Test followers’ actions that support the vision Have a meeting to collect employees’ examples of values in action Recognize institutional achievers in public through decision/action Test the target for consistency with the values

9. C) TO BUILD INITIATIVE Recognize team effort, give symbolic/social rewards Scrutinize improvements to check negative impact in other area Make suggesting improvements easy Budget time and money to support the testing and development of ideas Reward successful implementation of ideas

D) TO BUILD BETTER PERFORMERS Set goals ensuring high chance of success If one goal is not met, focus making next goal achievable Make hard work rewarding with personal interest Use the achieved for decision making Act on all suggestions Track the above % and the economic impact Ask questions to show case what they know Ask about your actions Share to improve your skills

SOME REMEMBERABLES There is measure in all things Source of leadership is from and for the people Leader has to inspire people to make difficult choices Discipline brings success to the weak and esteem to all No one is good enough to lead another without consent When you really see good behaviour, you see possibilities

12. Leadership should be measurable Leadership emerges ahead of accomplishments Best mirror is an old friend The applause of one person is of great consequence A leader becomes great by not doing great things but gets people to do great things Every man loves what he is good at

Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm Spring into action is the man of worth No talent, no genius, no education but “press on” (commitment) can solve everything Best efficiency is spontaneous cooperation of free people Best mutual confidence is with an open mind and free discussion The last test of a leader is he leaves behind him in others the conviction and will to carry on.
