  1. This model begins with an end in mind- That is results. Within the alliance context these results translate into results beyond BUA performance (weather you call them game-braking, extraordinary performance, breakthrough results, or performance beyond the predictable. Consider the alliance as a network of conversations, commitments, promises, contracts and expectations. The next step is to attempt to quantify the impact of the fulfilment or un-fulfilment of the contracts / expectations This is a diagnostic cause-effect model.
