This document discusses the benefits and concerns of studying abroad as well as tips for safe travel. The benefits include cultural exposure that can broaden understanding of the world, personal development through increased self-confidence and maturity, and first-hand experiences that witness different politics, economies, and social issues. Concerns for parents include safety, while tips are provided for safe travel abroad such as researching destinations, traveling light, and being cautious. Salisbury University's CMAT study abroad programs are described along with financial aid options and an interview with a student who studied in India.
