WhiteStar Corporation’s business is to supply key geographic data layers to the energy industry from a large GIS data store via a subscription model. I will select an area of interest from a web map by county, choose my desired data layers, and then supply a destination format, in this case ArcGIS Online. Once I submit my request, my request transfers to a business rule validation engine to validate my email and subscription status, then on to FME Server for processing. Users can request either a price quotation of the proposed data purchase including a simplified index map,  or opt to purchase the data and receive a link to a zip file containing the processed data, or simply have it delivered directly as a feature class into ArcGIS Online. Benefits of this system include the ability to monitor customer usage, expand the types of subscriptions that can be offered, and support for a wide variety of output formats including ArcGIS Online, various Esri formats, and various Geological and Geophysical application platforms.
