6. The highest vote was Thriller films with 15% followed by Drama films with 14%. This results came back really positive because our film is also a drama/thriller film. So according to these results it means people will enjoy watching our film too
7.
8. From this result we found that more then half of our target audience enjoyed watching drama films. This of course was great news for us.
9.
10. The dramatic theme with the most votes was Crime followed by Society. Our film is a mixture of both – even though it is about terrorism, it shows a crime being acted and how it affects the society. Racial prejudice and Terrorism had about the same votes with 10/11. This shows that our target audience doesn’t mind watching a film with those themes.
11.
12. From this poll it shows that Emotional Issues (death) had the most votes. This was good news for us as our film is saddening because everyone dies at the end.
13.
14. These are other films that has influenced us into making our film and we wanted to which of them they liked watching. The results shows that Munich was the most popular. (This film was about the Israeli government's secret retaliation attacks after the massacre of Israeli athletes by Black September militant group.) This relates to our film because in our film we also show a terror attack.
15.
16. Every film production has a specific style and technique, from the result it shows that Lionsgate had the most votes. This again was brilliant news for us because our film is dark with a cold blue tone colour and Lionsgate also have some similarities.
17.
18. This question was the most important to us because we actually wanted the hoodie guy to have the most votes but in fact it’s 50/50 with both of them having 18% each. For this results we needed to do some changes to our film e.g. dramatic music, suspicious scenes and camera angles and shots.
19.
20. From this result we found that more then half of our target audience enjoyed watching thriller films. This of course was excellent news for us because our film is a thriller film.
21.
22. In this question we wanted to find out what type of thriller film theme they like watching. The most popular was Suspense followed by Mystery – our film has a combination of both because the film has the feeling of suspense and our characters are mysterious. Climax came third place and this relates to our film as there is a high point in our film where all the questions are hopefully answered.
23. Feedback After Viewing Film We had two students view our film after our first editing session, Some of the feed back they gave was positive notes about our film, they also gave tips on how we could improve our film and this included:
24. * Improve the sound in our film as it was uneven and not lifelike. * Both students said they were unsure about which character was the terrorist and that perhaps we could make this more clear. * Insert more dramatic music.
25. After receiving feedback After receiving feedback we decided to re-edit our film. We used logic to balance our sound and insert more dramatic music, this made our film look more effective. We also cut out a few scenes of the hoodie character as we thought the audience would be falling for the stereotype for too long.
