How to Make Mishti Doi
1. Mishti Doi
One of the healthy recipes: You only need three
simple ingredients to make Mishti Doi, one of the
most famous sweets in Bengal: full cream milk,
yogurt, and white sugar. Mishti Doi is best prepared
and served in an earthen pot but you can also use a
thick and heavy-bottomed pan to cook it or serve it in
a pretty bowl. A cast iron pot also works for making a
delicious and comforting dish of mishit doi. Pair this
with your favorite healthy meals.
Ingredients:
1 liter full cream milk
5 tablespoon yoghurt
1 cup white sugar
Directions:
Keep milk in a heavy bottom pan and reduce
it to half on medium to low flame.
In a separate pan put sugar and allow it to
caramelize on low flame. It should turn
brown.
Mix the reduced milk and the caramelized
sugar well.
Transfer this mixture into a desired container
and add curd to it for the formation of yogurt.
Once it is set let it chill in the refrigerator and
serve cold.
