2. Similarities
Both tell you when the film shall be released
Both are less than 1 minute long
Both build tension to grab their target audience
Both ended in a way to try and shock the
viewer, however I believe shutter island’s trailer was
much more effective in this
Both didn’t really have a soundtrack

3. Differences
Twilight was much more slow paced than Shutter
Island, perhaps because it is not as tense and gripping
as the latter
Shutter island leaves you on a cliff-hanger, wanting
you to know what happens in the film, Twilight
however did not leave me with this feeling of
knowing

4. Personal Reflection Time
I have taken a lot from the Shutter island trailer. This
is because it will be the same genre as my
trailer, therefore the codes and conventions used in it
will be very helpful in not only helping me identify my
target audiences wants & needs, it tells me what
conventions I should use to make a realistic gripping
mystery thriller.
