Tour, Try (Distribute), Workshop.
We are not diving right into the survey building because these questions are critical to ask before you begin; they shape your question types, survey flow, and distribution strategy. Qualtrics has a lot of great features and functions—but this is so they can serve diverse needs, not so you can use them all. That’s impossible because they contradict. What is one survey-builder’s multiple-choice bread and butter, another may never use. Example: send to a panel or have anonymous link.
What is everything? Where is everything? Navigation. Explain all the icons like edit,Collaborate, create from copy (use a survey you already made).
Just watch for now, but if you were going to build a survey from scratch, you’d do this: Quick Survey Builder
I’m going to show you all the features that are bare minimum to know. Here’s the survey I made. “Sarah’s Survey” I’ve put in the main question types. To move the questions up and down use the arrows. To work on or edit a question, click on the box.
These are the most common ones I’ll use. As you get to know qualtrics, you’ll use other functions but for now I’ve highlighted the main functions you’ll need to get started. “Validation“ is in red because it can be tricky. Some people will just stop taking the survey if they get frustrated. Add a validation message, we’ll get to that later.
Useful thing to know—status of email and survey link, time started, etc.
