Executive Summary:
This how-to-guide is to illustrate the detailed steps to load Attributes and
Texts from Flat Files to BW InfoObjects and from InfoObjects to BPC 10.0 NW
Dimensions. We will use the front end web user interface, SAP GUI and the
Data Manager in EPM Office Add-in for Excel.
This is done in two parts:
Part I: Load Master Data (Attributes and Texts) in to BW (InfoObjects)
from Flat Files
Part II: Load BW Data (from Part I) into BPC via Data Manger
Package
Assumptions: We assume the user is familiar with user interface of BPC and BW. All
required Dimensions and Model is in place.

Business Scenario:
We often deal with data from multiple sources. Most common source of data we
process is from ASCII flat files. The files could be delimited by COMMA, TAB etc…
In our case we will be working with COMMA separated file. We will be working with
Accounting data for this exercise.
