This document summarizes a webinar about integrating the Common Core State Standards into local school curriculum. The webinar focused on a 4-phase process: 1) Laying the foundation by learning the fundamentals of the standards, 2) Launching the mapping process to document curriculum in relation to standards, 3) Informing maps with benchmark assessments, and 4) Advancing maps for the future by integrating 21st century skills. Key aspects of the process included unwrapping and translating the standards, vertical collaboration, consensus and diary maps, essential questions, and using assessment data to diagnose needs and prescribe revisions to curriculum maps.
