The Nuffield Research Placements program offers 4-6 week summer placements for A-Level students to work on science, technology, engineering, and math projects based at universities or research facilities. The program aims to target students from low socio-economic backgrounds by using free school meal data and deprivation indexes to redistribute their budget and build partnerships with schools in higher-need areas. The placements provide travel costs and an £80 per week bursary for students.
