The river Clyde forms and man starts to inhabit the area that will become the City of
Glasgow.

12. Slowly the area begins to become fertile and nature begins to grow from the rivers
waters.

15. Nature and wildlife begin to inhabit the area.

16. Glasgow becomes an area of colour and nature, as our boat continues to sail
through.

18. ACT TWO – SHIPBUILDING & INDUSTRY
Glasgows famous shipbuilding industries begin to devlop on the Clyde.

19. Huge factories appear and the city builds the biggest and best ships in the world.

21. The cranes begin to appear and have made Glasgow an industrial powerhouse.

22. The industries are at their full might, but slowly they begin to decline.

23. ACT THREE - MODERNISATION
As our boat sails on it witnesses a new era as Glasgow begins to modernise. From the
ashes of the shipyards comes the science centre and the Arc bridge.

25. Projections of Glasgow as it is today, a new and exciting City.

26. ACT FOUR – LET THE GAMES BEGIN
As the boat disappears, the logo is again shown.

27. Glasgows vibrancy and the hearalding of the start of the Games brings about colour and
excitement.

28. From the logo, huge white strands come out to the field.

29. These convey messages to the athletes

31. The lights dim as each inspirational word is lit up

33. THE CAULDRON

34. The cauldron decends to the floor where it is lit by Scotguy

36. It then returns to its high spot where it will burn for 14 days over the City of Glasgow
