7. Don Forlani | Executive Vice President
• An owner of the company, Don is responsible for the financial
operations of BrightStar.
• He is the one in charge of paying the bills and making sure “the
lights” remain on. In his free time, Don manages the Houston
BrightStar operation.
Karen Hope, RN, BSN | Director of Nursing
• The mother of three active young girls, Karen is responsible for
overseeing the clinical or nursing operations of the office.
• This includes supervision of our nursing staff, caregiver oversight,
licensure compliance, and the recruitment and management of our
clinical team.
• With fifteen years of experience as a practicing nurse, the last three
years of which have been at BrightStar, Karen possesses a wide
variety of experience that serves her well as our Director of Nursing.

8. Michelle Cavin | Staffing and Service Coordinator
As our Staffing and Service Coordinator, Michelle is the “hub” of our
office. She is the one who makes sure all of our clients, both
individuals and institutions, receive the right caregiver to fit their
particular needs.
Sarah Soltes | Staffing and Recruiting Assistant
• Sarah is responsible for recruiting all of our great caregivers and
making sure that they maintain their credentialing - not an easy
task in an active office like ours! With a grandmother with
dementia, Sarah knows firsthand how difficult that disease can be
on the families it affects and the importance of finding just the right
caregiver.
• Sarah is a volunteer with the Alzheimer‟s Association and is
pursuing a joint degree in Accounting and Gerontology at Northern
Illinois University.

9. Mary Pat English | Kane County Director of Sales and
Marketing
• With over thirty years of sales and marketing experience and the
last two years with our BrightStar office, everyone knows Mary Pat.
• You will too if you ever need any of the many services we offer in
Kane and DeKalb counties.
• Mary Pat spends what little free time she has volunteering at Delnor
Hospital and with the Kane County Triad.
Cathy Snyder, RN, BSN | Kane County Care Manager
• Caring, compassionate, always having her clients‟ best interests in
mind - these are the things that best describe Cathy. A nurse with
over thirty years of experience in the field, Cathy is responsible for
ensuring our clients in Kane and DeKalb counties receive the quality
care for which BrightStar is known.
• In her free time Cathy is a triathlete and a volunteer at a local
hospice.

10. Cheryl Reis, RN | Schaumburg Director of Sales and
Marketing
• Living with a mother with Alzheimer‟s prepared Cheryl for her
position as our Schaumburg Director of Sales and Marketing.
• As an RN with a sales and marketing background, Cheryl is
uniquely positioned to understand the needs of her clients and their
families.
• Her enthusiasm and passion for helping clients and families in need
set her apart from the rest.
Lori Schreiber | Northwest Suburban Care Manager
• Lori is our Northwest Suburban Care Manager.
• With nearly thirty years of nursing experience, much of it in home
healthcare, Lori has an unusually strong understanding of the needs
of her clients and their families.

Marketing
• Retti is our Des Plaines area director of Sales and Marketing.
• Retti learned firsthand how difficult it can be caring for a loved one
in need when she cared for a sister battling cancer.
• She uses the knowledge she gained from this experience, along with
a natural compassion for people in need, to ensure that her many
clients and their families receive the quality care they desire and
deserve.
