limited company (management board, supervisory board)
! BSR is commissioned to perform sovereign tasks of the State of Berlin:
! Waste collection and waste treatment
! Street cleaning and snow removal
! BSR is financed through fees for streat cleaning and waste collection.
It is strictly forbidden to draw profits.

That`s the challenge for the Holzmarkt quarter with a planned mixture of arts, culture,
public park and student living.

The BSR, the University Potsdam and the Holzmarkt have initiated together the
34QM Designlab. In this lab design students develop on site innovative solutions.
In the future different kind of

19. Project example: Accessible waste collection (II)
In cooperation with the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee a solution for accessible
waste collection was created.
The solution – called Arc32 – provides more convenience for all groups of users - and
it is also wheelchair accessible. For our garbage collectors it`s only a bit more effort.
