• Action Against Hunger provides lifesaving
assistance and restores self-sufficiency to millions of
people in over 40 countries.
• Recognized as a leader in the fight against
malnutrition, ACF International saves the lives of
malnourished children while providing communities
with access to safe water and sustainable solutions
to hunger.
4. WHAT INSPIRED THIS
• It was established by Alfred Kastler who wished for a
world without hunger. A world in which all children
and adults have sufficient food and water,
equitable access to the resources that sustain life,
and are able to attain these with dignity.
5. IMPACT OF THIS SOCIAL
ENTREPRENEUR
• Action Against Hunger’s integrated approach to hunger
involves extending water and sanitation services to
communities faced with water scarcity, unsafe drinking
water, inadequate sanitation, and poor hygiene.
• Action Against Hunger’s food security programming
forms a continuum with the work we do in nutrition. While
our therapeutic nutrition programs restore to health
individuals suffering from acute malnutrition, our food
security programs prevent future outbreaks by supplying
needed inputs.
