Scripture Message Theme

Today, I would like to talk to you about “Reflecting the
Nature of God.” Our main text comes from 2 Peter,
chapter 1 verses 3 through 11. We are using the English
Standard Version for this passage of scripture.

14
“His divine power has granted to us all things that
pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of
him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by
which he has granted to us his precious and very great
promises, so that through them you may become
partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped from the
corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.
For this very reason, make every effort to supplement
your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and
                                                         15
knowledge with self-control, and self-control with
steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and
godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly
affection with love; for if these qualities are yours and
are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or
unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that
he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from
his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more
16
diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if
you practice these qualities you will never fall, for in
this way there will be richly provided for you an
entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ.”

                                                           17
As disciples of Jesus, we are expected to bear His Nature
and attributes of Him, our Leader. Evangelical Christians
are often looked at as people who carry a message of hate
and judgementalism; however, this is the farthest from
the Truth message of Jesus. Our duty is to reflect the
Nature of God.

18
I am going to use the moon as an analogy. We are like
the moon we do not have light; we simply reflect the light
of the greater source, that of the Son of God, as He
directs and the portion He has given to us walking in the
LIGHT as it shines in our pathways. Moonlight is the
light that comes to earth from the moon, which this light
does not actually originate from sunlight. The moon does

                                                        19
not, however, reflect sun like a mirror but it reflects light
from those portions of its surface which the sunlight
strides. I prefer to compare our life to that of the moon,
rather then that of the mirror. Let us look at Paul’s
analogy in 1 Corinthians 13:12, which says, “For now we
see through a glass darkly but then face to face, now I
know in part but then shall I know even as I am
known.”

20
If we compare it to a mirror, here is what is happening,
“Our testimony would be like a pocket book mirror.”
God would be like a city, a huge city, like New York
City. There is no way that a person that we are
witnessing to, look into that tiny mirror, and really get
very much of the image of what the Nature of God is like.
There is no way that we, as a human being can know

                                                            21
every thing there is to know about God. What we can
know and what we are expected to do, is be like the
moon. When a sunray hits the moon, the moon then
illuminates it. When the Spirit of God hits us, and we
receive revelation knowledge from God that is the
knowledge that we are to shine and we are to portray.
God gives us revelation knowledge, we absorb it, and we
share it. In this special way we are able to avoid being
judgmental towards others. We have to simply accept
22
that if we disagree with somebody that, perhaps, it is
because that ‘ray’ has not been shown to him or her yet.
We can see how God deals personally with the individual
heart of man. I am not referring to sin here; I am
referring to the things that are different between all of us.
The distinction as there is a big difference between
discernment and judgementalism. We cannot judge
revelation knowledge, but we can know the difference
between sin and righteousness.
                                                           23
An example might be the Biblical Feast that Prophet was
talking about earlier, Yum Kippur, has just past and that
is the day of total fasting. For many, they were fasting
that day; others went to grill pits and barbecue that day. I
cannot say, “I was fasting and you have a problem with
God and you were out pigging out on barbecue that
day.” No, if God has not shown that person to the light
to observe the Biblical Feasts then it is not my place to
judge that person. Another example might be whether to
24
go to church on Saturday or Sunday, as these are things
that the individual will receive revelation knowledge
from God on. You are probably thinking right now of
differences yourself; the more we allow the Spirit of God
to illuminate to us the brighter we will become and God
will reveal more of His Nature to us.

                                                          25
The Nature of God Is Holiness

In this lesson I would I want to do is examine the Nature
of God and show a little ray of Light that will help us
gain understanding of how to be a light in a lost world.
We are going to look at a couple, about three or four
Natures of God. The first Nature we are going to look at
is Holiness; He is Holy and we must reflect Holiness.

26
He has no Nature to sin, as the word Holy is defined as:
dedicated, set apart, devoted to service, Savior, having a
character that devotes reverence.

This implies being whole-heartedly committed for a
cause; set apart for a particular purpose. God created
mankind to serve Him for His pleasure; He wants to
covenant with us. The Covenant God made from the

                                                           27
beginning with us is that “I will be Your God and you
will be My people.”

He could have created us to be like the animals and we
worship and obey His command automatically, but He
chose His great Wisdom in giving us a choice. He
created us in His own likeness; He made us intelligent
capable of making decisions and dedicated His plan for
us. He provided a plan of redemption for us when we

28
fall, yet it is against the nature of man to be holy as it is
against our nature, it is required.

The first scripture says in 1 Peter 1:16, “Be ye holy for I
am holy.” Leviticus 11:44 says, “I am the Lord your
God consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am
holy.” It is through, it is through the Holy Spirit living in
us and working through us that we can achieve holiness.
                                                                29
We can never be perfect but we can live a lifestyle that is
pleasing to our God. When we pattern ourselves after
Jesus, we understand He was a Healer and Friend to all.
So the Nature we must reflect is Holiness.

30
The Nature of God is Truth

God is an absolute and the opposite. The idea of absolute
Truth involves believing in a power higher then
ourselves. If Truth is only as I see it then it has no value.
The Bible is a Book of absolute teachings, such as: faith,
which is based on this book. If we cannot have that faith
then we cannot accept its teachings as absolute. It would
only be a good history book and not a book for living.

                                                           31
Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a
certain statement is true. One can be easily persuaded of
anything. “So, how do we defend God and the Bible as
absolute Truth?” This may not be what you are looking
for, or the answer in what you are hoping to get but the
Truth is, “We can’t.” We can learn apologetics, we can
do our best, but ultimately only the Spirit of the True, and
Living God can draw unto Himself. God is revelation
knowledge as Jesus explains this to Peter.
32
Using the New Living Translation, in Matthew 16:17
(NLT) Jesus replies, “You are blessed Simon, son of
John, because My Father in heaven revealed this you.
You cannot learn this from any human being.”

1 Cor. 2:10 (NLT) “But it was to us that God revealed
these things by His Spirit, for His Spirit searches out
everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” So, we
                                                          33
find that God is opposite and God is all good. His
opponent that old adversary, the Devil, is all evil. God is
LIGHT and the enemy is darkness. There is no medium
spot to get in the dim light with God. Either one has to
get into all the LIGHT that is being shown, and pray for
yet more LIGHT—or, one will side with the devil. There
is no way that this middle road simply does not exist
when it comes to God.

34
1 John 1:5 (NIV) “This is the message we have heard
from Him and declare to you, God is LIGHT in Him
there is no darkness at all. We must be opposite with
our enemy and be in alignment with God.”

Rev. 3:15,16 (NIV) “I know your deeds that you are
neither cold or hot; I wish you were either one or the

                                                         35
other so because you are lukewarm neither hot or cold,
I will spit you out of My mouth.”

As we look at the ray of the Son of God being shown
down illuminating our path, we are then expected to walk
in that LIGHT that God has shown on our path.

If we fail to do so, then we are failing to be in alignment
with God the way that He wants us to be. So God’s
Nature is the Nature of opposite. His Nature is total
36
absolute Truth; this Nature must be accepted by faith.
God is absolute.

                                                         37
The Nature of God is Love

This is where so many in the world are falsely accusing
us of having the message of hate. Again, I say this is
farthest from the Truth. “What greater Love is the Love
of God!”

The Nature of God is Love, and we as His disciples must
reflect His Love. This is how God showed His Love
among us as He sent His one and only Son into the world
38
that we might live through Him. This is Love, as it is not
that we Loved God but that He Loved us and sent His
Son as our atoning sacrifice for our sins. If the world
says this is hate, then I can’t understand that.

John 15:13 (NIV) “Greater Love has no one than this
that someone laid down His life for His friends.”

                                                          39
Romans 5:8 (NIV) “But God demonstrates His Love for
us in this, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.”

While we were yet sinners, it was not for the righteous
that He died but it was for the vile knowing that mankind
was made from the dust of the earth; knowing that
mankind was incapable of doing the things that was
needed to do to be holy, He died.

40
John 13:34,25 (NAB) “I give you a new commandment,
Love one another as I have Loved you, so should you
Love another. This is how we will know you are My
disciples that you Love one another.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (ISB) “Love is always patient.
Love is always kind. Love is never envious or arrogant
with pride, nor is she conceded and she is never rude.
She never thinks just of herself or ever gets annoyed;

                                                         41
she never is resentful and glad with sin but always glad
to side with Truth. Whenever Truth should win she
bares up under everything and believes the best in all.
There is no limit to her hope and she will never fail.
Love never fails.”

When we can learn, as Christians, to read this and apply
this measure of Love we will learn to truly Love; we will
learn to Love people no matter their lifestyle and no

42
matter what they are going through—we will truly Love
them.

To Love in an unselfish Love wanting what is best for
that individual, as the world must realize that Truth is
what is best. If I really Love you, I will warn you of
danger. If I fail to tell you the Way to Eternal Life the
question I would ask is, “Do I really Love you?” The
false love of this world is like two children playing in a

                                                             43
den of snakes. Oh yeah! It is lot’s of fun until one of
them get’s bit. Godly Love is like that of a parent
removing you from harm; the Nature of God is to Love,
but to Love unconditionally to Love like the Love of a
parent. Sometimes, especially, as you look at children as
teenagers they get a little rebellious of that parental
authority. They do not want mommy and daddy sticking
into everything in their lives, but when they come to
understand that my momma and my daddy love me they
44
want what is best for me, and they do not want me to get
in trouble—they learn to understand true Love.

Their friend is out there saying, “It is not going to hurt
you to smoke a joint with me. It’s fun and nobody has
ever got hurt smoking a little, or drinking a little or
committing this or that sin, what their parents have told
them.”

                                                             45
That is not Love, because Love—true Love, wants what
is best for a person. Wanting them to be all they can be,
and wanting them to be happy in everything they should
be.

I think of a man that I know from here in South Carolina,
the man you probably best describe him is a vagabond.
His mind is not very sharp; yet when this young man was
in the sixth grade he made straight ‘A’s” in school and he

46
was one of the smartest children in school. Back in those
days in the seventies, a lot of those kids got into huffing
paint and this young man began to huff paint. He got
more, and more involved in it until he was huffing paint
on a daily basis for a long time.

As his teenage years began to play through he became so
addicted to this and other drugs that his mind began to
deteriorate and when you talk to him now you would

                                                          47
have thought he was born with a mental illness keeping
him from being able to communicate. Those children,
back in his life, who got him involved in this fun, if you
want to call it activity, did not have his best interest in
heart. God doesn’t want to see that sort of a turn out in a
person’s life, and God is about warning you when there is
danger ahead. That is True Love, my friends, that is True
Love.

48
So the Nature of God, we just looked at is Love—True
Love, Godly Love, the Love of a parent, the Love of
Abba Father. We as Christians should portray that about
Love.

                                                       49
The Nature of God Forgiveness

1 John 1:9 (NIV) “If we confess our sins He is Faithful
and Righteous to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.”

Colossians 3:13 (NIV) “Bear with each other and
forgive whatever grievances you might have against one
another, forgiveness as the Lord forgave you.”

50
Matthew 6:14-16 (NIV) “For if you forgive men when
they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also
forgive you. If you do not forgive men their sins, your
Father will not forgive your sins.”

Mark 11:25 (NIV) “And when you stand praying if you
hold anything against anyone, forgive him so that Your
Father in heaven may forgive you of your sins.”
                                                          51
I want you to listen to this quote and I want you to
imagine who might have said this as I speak this to you.
“The greatest way to avenge your enemy is to learn to
forgive him.” Let me repeat that, “The greatest way to
avenge your enemy is to learn to forgive him.”

Would you believe that this was quoted by a survivor of
the August 6, 1945 atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima
52
Japan, this elderly Japanese man “The greatest way to
avenge your enemy is to forgive him.”

When I heard this I thought what an astounding
statement, I have to write that down. No one said it is
easy for us to forgive as our sinful Adamic Nature wants
to carry a grudge and it wants us to seek revenge and pay
back with theory, but this is not the Nature of God. It is a
necessary task for us to pray that God give us His

                                                          53
forgiving Nature. We will find personal healing for our
ways when we are able to forgive and so the Nature of
God is forgiveness.

54
The Nature of God is Discipline and He Is Judge

The Nature of God is discipline, as I did not say that the
Nature of God is punishment. There is a big difference
as punishment is a penalty imposed upon someone for
wrongdoing, or rough treatment or chastisement.
Discipline refers to a systematic instruction given to a
disciple; to discipline means to instruct a person to follow
a particular code of conduct or order.

                                                           55
God instructs Israel in Leviticus 26:12 saying, “I will
walk among you and be Your God and be My people.”
This is the covenant that God made with man; along with
this disciple comes the consequences of failure to follow
the discipline. If you read the whole chapter you will
find God’s instructions and consequences for failure to
follow His commands. The purpose of His commands is
not to become our taskmaster, as He wants us to have joy
in the land He has given to us along with peace and
56
prosperity in the land He has given to us. This is the
Nature of God that so many people have a problem with,
just as I was saying when a child is need of discipline
parents provide that loving discipline, so we need the
discipline of God. A lawless society is one of fear; if a
burglar is breaking in your house how quickly do you call
the police? All the sudden you need the law, but when
you are being pulled over for speeding all the sudden you
do not see the need for this in your life. People want God
                                                            57
to heal them, they want God to forgive them; they want
God to provide for them but they do not want God to
discipline them. Society does not want to be accountable
to a higher power. This is where so many choose the
atheistic ways and the idea of humanism of man being the
ultimate and there is none higher because man does not
want to be disciplined by a higher power. This is because
they fail to fully understand and why, and what the
discipline of God is.
58
The discipline of God is Love and not hate as we read in
2 Peter 3:9 saying, “The Lord is not slack concerning
His promise as some men count slackness but His
longsuffering towards us not willing that any should
perish but that all should come into repentance.” The
reason that temptation is so seductive is that we get side
tracked by what we stand to gain, right now, instead of
what we stand to gain at sometime later. This is true of
any discipline if you have an athletic runner you have to
                                                             59
discipline their self to run. I had a good doctor friend of
mine who was a runner who ran races and he told me, “I
am not allowed to eat until after I run” that was his self-
discipline. He had to do his running or he could not eat,
and he had successfully disciplined himself. There are, I
suppose many of us, or maybe even most of us that would
have a difficult time with that athletic discipline. The
same way if we go on a diet it takes discipline, as it is a
lot easier to look at how good those cookies taste right
60
now rather then thinking if you do what is right you
would be healthier. Without disciple we will be late for
work every morning, and without disciple we wouldn’t
even be on this program right now because it is too easy
to convince us right now there is something more fun, or
something better to do.

Just as the athlete trains and just as we have to have
discipline we have to have that same discipline to study

                                                           61
God’s Word and allow God to become our Disciplinarian
and help us grow up to a greater place with Him, and
receive more Life with Him. What I am trying to say is
that God is not our enemy and He is our Personal Trainer.
He wants us to win and doesn’t put out consequences.
There is an old saying when a parent is disciplining a
child, “This is going to hurt me more then it hurts you”
and with God that really is True. It breaks the very heart
of God when His people sin, as it is not His will—again,
62
as the scriptures say there, that none should die a lost soul
but all should come to repentance.

What God wants to do in John 16:13 (NIV) “When He
the Spirit of Truth comes He will guide you into all
Truth. He will not speak on His own and He will speak
only what He hears and He will tell you what is to
come.”

                                                          63
In other words, He will be your trainer and He will help
you find that place where you need to be. He will be like
the Sun shining rays of LIGHT upon you and shine that
LIGHT upon others.

Ultimately, God will be our Judge, as we must understand
the definition of a Judge. A Judge is somebody who has
informed opinion on something, as we are often called
judgmental. Understand, there is a big difference

64
between being judgmental and having righteous
judgment. Who is it that is more informed to be a judge
then God? Who is more righteous then God? He is an
eyewitness to every event on earth. He is the ultimate
Judge, as His judgments are: fair, balanced, and correct.
As humans on earth, how do we adequately reflect this
idea of being judged? We are not to be judgmental, but
being judgmental involves being critical of the conduct of
others. It is not our job to critise but rather through Love
                                                          65
share our ray of LIGHT. Like I said, this is one that you
really have to do a lot of studying and caution in this
because so often our hearts desires is to judge a matter
and not to be judgmental and condemning but yet because
of our imperfections we do not have all the answers; we
do not have all the information. The old Indian saying is,
“Don’t judge me unless you walked a mile in my
moccasins.” I have always like that! Never make a
person that you are witnessing to feel that you are
66
personally attacking them, or condemning them; being
negative towards them or disapproving of them. It is not
always easy to witness against sin, however, when we
radiate the Love of God people will see that we truly
Love them regardless of their lifestyle. We Love them
too much to leave them hanging over a rope over a
burning inferno. You don’t hear a lot of preachers
preaching on hell anymore, but hell is a real place;

                                                        67
whether the world likes it or not hell is an absolute and
that my friend is the message that I want you.

I want to condemn or judge or lifestyle but I do want to
share with you there are lifestyles that will leave you on a
road hanging on the inferno of hell. So what we are to do
then is to share the LIGHT that we have, and we are to
pray for more revelation knowledge. LOVE purely and
never critises your fellow man yet never fails to share

68
solid Biblical Truths. Forgive those that have hurt you
and learn discipline to God’s plan, as He wants to have a
personal relationship with you. If you will understand
how to reflect these natures that I have talked about of
your Heavenly Father you will find peace and happiness,
and in these are the closing remarks for today as we read
from Isaiah 58:8 (GWT) “Then your light will
breakthrough like the dawn and you will heal quickly

                                                           69
and your righteousness will go ahead of you and the
Glory of the Lord will guard you from behind.”

I hope that something has touched you in this message
today, and I hope that we can gain understanding and
gain the knowledge of God; how to portray the Natures in
our lives for daily Godly living. Thank you and God
bless you, Prophet Ronald.

70
Prophet Ronald: “That was good, real good. Does
anyone have any questions or need clarification on
because that was pretty clear. Praise God, amen. If so
we will give you the opportunity to do so. We thank her
for that as Rev. Amanda Connell. The ministry they have
is called Grafted Olive Ministry, and you can find that on
Face Book or you can look up her directly on Face Book,
and you can communicate with them. They also have
some videos on You Tube as I have not had a chance to
                                                         71
watch, hopefully I can do that today. We thank her for
the Word of God. Amen. Many times, people when they
minister they are very judgmental and we often forget
where we come from. Maybe you have been saved all
your life and sometimes we forget that we must learn not
to judge people when we minister to others. So, when we
are witnessing and telling people about the Truth of God
we want to do it in True humility, and consider that God

72
has saved us and not condemn people but give them
Truth.”

                                                    73

  • 14. Scripture Message Theme Today, I would like to talk to you about “Reflecting the Nature of God.” Our main text comes from 2 Peter, chapter 1 verses 3 through 11. We are using the English Standard Version for this passage of scripture. 14
  • 15. “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the Divine Nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and 15
  • 16. knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love; for if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more 16
  • 17. diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall, for in this way there will be richly provided for you an entrance into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 17
  • 18. As disciples of Jesus, we are expected to bear His Nature and attributes of Him, our Leader. Evangelical Christians are often looked at as people who carry a message of hate and judgementalism; however, this is the farthest from the Truth message of Jesus. Our duty is to reflect the Nature of God. 18
  • 19. I am going to use the moon as an analogy. We are like the moon we do not have light; we simply reflect the light of the greater source, that of the Son of God, as He directs and the portion He has given to us walking in the LIGHT as it shines in our pathways. Moonlight is the light that comes to earth from the moon, which this light does not actually originate from sunlight. The moon does 19
  • 20. not, however, reflect sun like a mirror but it reflects light from those portions of its surface which the sunlight strides. I prefer to compare our life to that of the moon, rather then that of the mirror. Let us look at Paul’s analogy in 1 Corinthians 13:12, which says, “For now we see through a glass darkly but then face to face, now I know in part but then shall I know even as I am known.” 20
  • 21. If we compare it to a mirror, here is what is happening, “Our testimony would be like a pocket book mirror.” God would be like a city, a huge city, like New York City. There is no way that a person that we are witnessing to, look into that tiny mirror, and really get very much of the image of what the Nature of God is like. There is no way that we, as a human being can know 21
  • 22. every thing there is to know about God. What we can know and what we are expected to do, is be like the moon. When a sunray hits the moon, the moon then illuminates it. When the Spirit of God hits us, and we receive revelation knowledge from God that is the knowledge that we are to shine and we are to portray. God gives us revelation knowledge, we absorb it, and we share it. In this special way we are able to avoid being judgmental towards others. We have to simply accept 22
  • 23. that if we disagree with somebody that, perhaps, it is because that ‘ray’ has not been shown to him or her yet. We can see how God deals personally with the individual heart of man. I am not referring to sin here; I am referring to the things that are different between all of us. The distinction as there is a big difference between discernment and judgementalism. We cannot judge revelation knowledge, but we can know the difference between sin and righteousness. 23
  • 24. An example might be the Biblical Feast that Prophet was talking about earlier, Yum Kippur, has just past and that is the day of total fasting. For many, they were fasting that day; others went to grill pits and barbecue that day. I cannot say, “I was fasting and you have a problem with God and you were out pigging out on barbecue that day.” No, if God has not shown that person to the light to observe the Biblical Feasts then it is not my place to judge that person. Another example might be whether to 24
  • 25. go to church on Saturday or Sunday, as these are things that the individual will receive revelation knowledge from God on. You are probably thinking right now of differences yourself; the more we allow the Spirit of God to illuminate to us the brighter we will become and God will reveal more of His Nature to us. 25
  • 26. The Nature of God Is Holiness In this lesson I would I want to do is examine the Nature of God and show a little ray of Light that will help us gain understanding of how to be a light in a lost world. We are going to look at a couple, about three or four Natures of God. The first Nature we are going to look at is Holiness; He is Holy and we must reflect Holiness. 26
  • 27. He has no Nature to sin, as the word Holy is defined as: dedicated, set apart, devoted to service, Savior, having a character that devotes reverence. This implies being whole-heartedly committed for a cause; set apart for a particular purpose. God created mankind to serve Him for His pleasure; He wants to covenant with us. The Covenant God made from the 27
  • 28. beginning with us is that “I will be Your God and you will be My people.” He could have created us to be like the animals and we worship and obey His command automatically, but He chose His great Wisdom in giving us a choice. He created us in His own likeness; He made us intelligent capable of making decisions and dedicated His plan for us. He provided a plan of redemption for us when we 28
  • 29. fall, yet it is against the nature of man to be holy as it is against our nature, it is required. The first scripture says in 1 Peter 1:16, “Be ye holy for I am holy.” Leviticus 11:44 says, “I am the Lord your God consecrate yourselves and be holy because I am holy.” It is through, it is through the Holy Spirit living in us and working through us that we can achieve holiness. 29
  • 30. We can never be perfect but we can live a lifestyle that is pleasing to our God. When we pattern ourselves after Jesus, we understand He was a Healer and Friend to all. So the Nature we must reflect is Holiness. 30
  • 31. The Nature of God is Truth God is an absolute and the opposite. The idea of absolute Truth involves believing in a power higher then ourselves. If Truth is only as I see it then it has no value. The Bible is a Book of absolute teachings, such as: faith, which is based on this book. If we cannot have that faith then we cannot accept its teachings as absolute. It would only be a good history book and not a book for living. 31
  • 32. Faith is in general the persuasion of the mind that a certain statement is true. One can be easily persuaded of anything. “So, how do we defend God and the Bible as absolute Truth?” This may not be what you are looking for, or the answer in what you are hoping to get but the Truth is, “We can’t.” We can learn apologetics, we can do our best, but ultimately only the Spirit of the True, and Living God can draw unto Himself. God is revelation knowledge as Jesus explains this to Peter. 32
  • 33. Using the New Living Translation, in Matthew 16:17 (NLT) Jesus replies, “You are blessed Simon, son of John, because My Father in heaven revealed this you. You cannot learn this from any human being.” 1 Cor. 2:10 (NLT) “But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit, for His Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” So, we 33
  • 34. find that God is opposite and God is all good. His opponent that old adversary, the Devil, is all evil. God is LIGHT and the enemy is darkness. There is no medium spot to get in the dim light with God. Either one has to get into all the LIGHT that is being shown, and pray for yet more LIGHT—or, one will side with the devil. There is no way that this middle road simply does not exist when it comes to God. 34
  • 35. 1 John 1:5 (NIV) “This is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you, God is LIGHT in Him there is no darkness at all. We must be opposite with our enemy and be in alignment with God.” Rev. 3:15,16 (NIV) “I know your deeds that you are neither cold or hot; I wish you were either one or the 35
  • 36. other so because you are lukewarm neither hot or cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.” As we look at the ray of the Son of God being shown down illuminating our path, we are then expected to walk in that LIGHT that God has shown on our path. If we fail to do so, then we are failing to be in alignment with God the way that He wants us to be. So God’s Nature is the Nature of opposite. His Nature is total 36
  • 37. absolute Truth; this Nature must be accepted by faith. God is absolute. 37
  • 38. The Nature of God is Love This is where so many in the world are falsely accusing us of having the message of hate. Again, I say this is farthest from the Truth. “What greater Love is the Love of God!” The Nature of God is Love, and we as His disciples must reflect His Love. This is how God showed His Love among us as He sent His one and only Son into the world 38
  • 39. that we might live through Him. This is Love, as it is not that we Loved God but that He Loved us and sent His Son as our atoning sacrifice for our sins. If the world says this is hate, then I can’t understand that. John 15:13 (NIV) “Greater Love has no one than this that someone laid down His life for His friends.” 39
  • 40. Romans 5:8 (NIV) “But God demonstrates His Love for us in this, while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.” While we were yet sinners, it was not for the righteous that He died but it was for the vile knowing that mankind was made from the dust of the earth; knowing that mankind was incapable of doing the things that was needed to do to be holy, He died. 40
  • 41. John 13:34,25 (NAB) “I give you a new commandment, Love one another as I have Loved you, so should you Love another. This is how we will know you are My disciples that you Love one another.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (ISB) “Love is always patient. Love is always kind. Love is never envious or arrogant with pride, nor is she conceded and she is never rude. She never thinks just of herself or ever gets annoyed; 41
  • 42. she never is resentful and glad with sin but always glad to side with Truth. Whenever Truth should win she bares up under everything and believes the best in all. There is no limit to her hope and she will never fail. Love never fails.” When we can learn, as Christians, to read this and apply this measure of Love we will learn to truly Love; we will learn to Love people no matter their lifestyle and no 42
  • 43. matter what they are going through—we will truly Love them. To Love in an unselfish Love wanting what is best for that individual, as the world must realize that Truth is what is best. If I really Love you, I will warn you of danger. If I fail to tell you the Way to Eternal Life the question I would ask is, “Do I really Love you?” The false love of this world is like two children playing in a 43
  • 44. den of snakes. Oh yeah! It is lot’s of fun until one of them get’s bit. Godly Love is like that of a parent removing you from harm; the Nature of God is to Love, but to Love unconditionally to Love like the Love of a parent. Sometimes, especially, as you look at children as teenagers they get a little rebellious of that parental authority. They do not want mommy and daddy sticking into everything in their lives, but when they come to understand that my momma and my daddy love me they 44
  • 45. want what is best for me, and they do not want me to get in trouble—they learn to understand true Love. Their friend is out there saying, “It is not going to hurt you to smoke a joint with me. It’s fun and nobody has ever got hurt smoking a little, or drinking a little or committing this or that sin, what their parents have told them.” 45
  • 46. That is not Love, because Love—true Love, wants what is best for a person. Wanting them to be all they can be, and wanting them to be happy in everything they should be. I think of a man that I know from here in South Carolina, the man you probably best describe him is a vagabond. His mind is not very sharp; yet when this young man was in the sixth grade he made straight ‘A’s” in school and he 46
  • 47. was one of the smartest children in school. Back in those days in the seventies, a lot of those kids got into huffing paint and this young man began to huff paint. He got more, and more involved in it until he was huffing paint on a daily basis for a long time. As his teenage years began to play through he became so addicted to this and other drugs that his mind began to deteriorate and when you talk to him now you would 47
  • 48. have thought he was born with a mental illness keeping him from being able to communicate. Those children, back in his life, who got him involved in this fun, if you want to call it activity, did not have his best interest in heart. God doesn’t want to see that sort of a turn out in a person’s life, and God is about warning you when there is danger ahead. That is True Love, my friends, that is True Love. 48
  • 49. So the Nature of God, we just looked at is Love—True Love, Godly Love, the Love of a parent, the Love of Abba Father. We as Christians should portray that about Love. 49
  • 50. The Nature of God Forgiveness 1 John 1:9 (NIV) “If we confess our sins He is Faithful and Righteous to forgive us of our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Colossians 3:13 (NIV) “Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you might have against one another, forgiveness as the Lord forgave you.” 50
  • 51. Matthew 6:14-16 (NIV) “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. If you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” Mark 11:25 (NIV) “And when you stand praying if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him so that Your Father in heaven may forgive you of your sins.” 51
  • 52. I want you to listen to this quote and I want you to imagine who might have said this as I speak this to you. “The greatest way to avenge your enemy is to learn to forgive him.” Let me repeat that, “The greatest way to avenge your enemy is to learn to forgive him.” Would you believe that this was quoted by a survivor of the August 6, 1945 atomic bomb attack on Hiroshima 52
  • 53. Japan, this elderly Japanese man “The greatest way to avenge your enemy is to forgive him.” When I heard this I thought what an astounding statement, I have to write that down. No one said it is easy for us to forgive as our sinful Adamic Nature wants to carry a grudge and it wants us to seek revenge and pay back with theory, but this is not the Nature of God. It is a necessary task for us to pray that God give us His 53
  • 54. forgiving Nature. We will find personal healing for our ways when we are able to forgive and so the Nature of God is forgiveness. 54
  • 55. The Nature of God is Discipline and He Is Judge The Nature of God is discipline, as I did not say that the Nature of God is punishment. There is a big difference as punishment is a penalty imposed upon someone for wrongdoing, or rough treatment or chastisement. Discipline refers to a systematic instruction given to a disciple; to discipline means to instruct a person to follow a particular code of conduct or order. 55
  • 56. God instructs Israel in Leviticus 26:12 saying, “I will walk among you and be Your God and be My people.” This is the covenant that God made with man; along with this disciple comes the consequences of failure to follow the discipline. If you read the whole chapter you will find God’s instructions and consequences for failure to follow His commands. The purpose of His commands is not to become our taskmaster, as He wants us to have joy in the land He has given to us along with peace and 56
  • 57. prosperity in the land He has given to us. This is the Nature of God that so many people have a problem with, just as I was saying when a child is need of discipline parents provide that loving discipline, so we need the discipline of God. A lawless society is one of fear; if a burglar is breaking in your house how quickly do you call the police? All the sudden you need the law, but when you are being pulled over for speeding all the sudden you do not see the need for this in your life. People want God 57
  • 58. to heal them, they want God to forgive them; they want God to provide for them but they do not want God to discipline them. Society does not want to be accountable to a higher power. This is where so many choose the atheistic ways and the idea of humanism of man being the ultimate and there is none higher because man does not want to be disciplined by a higher power. This is because they fail to fully understand and why, and what the discipline of God is. 58
  • 59. The discipline of God is Love and not hate as we read in 2 Peter 3:9 saying, “The Lord is not slack concerning His promise as some men count slackness but His longsuffering towards us not willing that any should perish but that all should come into repentance.” The reason that temptation is so seductive is that we get side tracked by what we stand to gain, right now, instead of what we stand to gain at sometime later. This is true of any discipline if you have an athletic runner you have to 59
  • 60. discipline their self to run. I had a good doctor friend of mine who was a runner who ran races and he told me, “I am not allowed to eat until after I run” that was his self- discipline. He had to do his running or he could not eat, and he had successfully disciplined himself. There are, I suppose many of us, or maybe even most of us that would have a difficult time with that athletic discipline. The same way if we go on a diet it takes discipline, as it is a lot easier to look at how good those cookies taste right 60
  • 61. now rather then thinking if you do what is right you would be healthier. Without disciple we will be late for work every morning, and without disciple we wouldn’t even be on this program right now because it is too easy to convince us right now there is something more fun, or something better to do. Just as the athlete trains and just as we have to have discipline we have to have that same discipline to study 61
  • 62. God’s Word and allow God to become our Disciplinarian and help us grow up to a greater place with Him, and receive more Life with Him. What I am trying to say is that God is not our enemy and He is our Personal Trainer. He wants us to win and doesn’t put out consequences. There is an old saying when a parent is disciplining a child, “This is going to hurt me more then it hurts you” and with God that really is True. It breaks the very heart of God when His people sin, as it is not His will—again, 62
  • 63. as the scriptures say there, that none should die a lost soul but all should come to repentance. What God wants to do in John 16:13 (NIV) “When He the Spirit of Truth comes He will guide you into all Truth. He will not speak on His own and He will speak only what He hears and He will tell you what is to come.” 63
  • 64. In other words, He will be your trainer and He will help you find that place where you need to be. He will be like the Sun shining rays of LIGHT upon you and shine that LIGHT upon others. Ultimately, God will be our Judge, as we must understand the definition of a Judge. A Judge is somebody who has informed opinion on something, as we are often called judgmental. Understand, there is a big difference 64
  • 65. between being judgmental and having righteous judgment. Who is it that is more informed to be a judge then God? Who is more righteous then God? He is an eyewitness to every event on earth. He is the ultimate Judge, as His judgments are: fair, balanced, and correct. As humans on earth, how do we adequately reflect this idea of being judged? We are not to be judgmental, but being judgmental involves being critical of the conduct of others. It is not our job to critise but rather through Love 65
  • 66. share our ray of LIGHT. Like I said, this is one that you really have to do a lot of studying and caution in this because so often our hearts desires is to judge a matter and not to be judgmental and condemning but yet because of our imperfections we do not have all the answers; we do not have all the information. The old Indian saying is, “Don’t judge me unless you walked a mile in my moccasins.” I have always like that! Never make a person that you are witnessing to feel that you are 66
  • 67. personally attacking them, or condemning them; being negative towards them or disapproving of them. It is not always easy to witness against sin, however, when we radiate the Love of God people will see that we truly Love them regardless of their lifestyle. We Love them too much to leave them hanging over a rope over a burning inferno. You don’t hear a lot of preachers preaching on hell anymore, but hell is a real place; 67
  • 68. whether the world likes it or not hell is an absolute and that my friend is the message that I want you. I want to condemn or judge or lifestyle but I do want to share with you there are lifestyles that will leave you on a road hanging on the inferno of hell. So what we are to do then is to share the LIGHT that we have, and we are to pray for more revelation knowledge. LOVE purely and never critises your fellow man yet never fails to share 68
  • 69. solid Biblical Truths. Forgive those that have hurt you and learn discipline to God’s plan, as He wants to have a personal relationship with you. If you will understand how to reflect these natures that I have talked about of your Heavenly Father you will find peace and happiness, and in these are the closing remarks for today as we read from Isaiah 58:8 (GWT) “Then your light will breakthrough like the dawn and you will heal quickly 69
  • 70. and your righteousness will go ahead of you and the Glory of the Lord will guard you from behind.” I hope that something has touched you in this message today, and I hope that we can gain understanding and gain the knowledge of God; how to portray the Natures in our lives for daily Godly living. Thank you and God bless you, Prophet Ronald. 70
  • 71. Prophet Ronald: “That was good, real good. Does anyone have any questions or need clarification on because that was pretty clear. Praise God, amen. If so we will give you the opportunity to do so. We thank her for that as Rev. Amanda Connell. The ministry they have is called Grafted Olive Ministry, and you can find that on Face Book or you can look up her directly on Face Book, and you can communicate with them. They also have some videos on You Tube as I have not had a chance to 71
  • 72. watch, hopefully I can do that today. We thank her for the Word of God. Amen. Many times, people when they minister they are very judgmental and we often forget where we come from. Maybe you have been saved all your life and sometimes we forget that we must learn not to judge people when we minister to others. So, when we are witnessing and telling people about the Truth of God we want to do it in True humility, and consider that God 72
  • 73. has saved us and not condemn people but give them Truth.” 73
