• Citi Field the new baseball stadium for the NewYork Mets
is in Flushing.
• The Concourse level features a 360-degree, circulatory
walkway around the ballpark with expansive field views
and ample standing room. Fans throughout the ballpark
have access to multiple sit-down, climate-controlled
restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges, a majority of which
will provide field views, and a wide range of menu choice.
• In early 2006 the NewYork Mets unveiled the official
model for the new stadium and announced in mid-
November 2006 that the stadium would be called Citi
Field, named for Citigroup Inc.The financial services
company agreed to pay $20 million dollars a year to the
park for 20 years, making it the second major league
sports venue in the area named for a corporate sponsor the
other being the Izod Center in New Jersey.

century.

The stadium cost of $1.3 billion was funded by $450 million
paid equally by the Yankees organization and New York City
taxpayers, the remainder of the bill being covered by money
from diverted revenue sharing payments that would have
been paid to other MLB baseball teams. New Yankee
stadium is second most expensive stadium ever built in the
world.
The New York Yankees partnered with Cisco Systems to
integrate video, voice, data and wireless services into one
seamless next-generation network that connects fans to the
team in entirely new ways. Fans can view sports news and
scores, weather and traffic while never missing a moment of
game action on the field. Live game broadcast on HD video
monitors displayed throughout the stadium, including
concession areas, the Great Hall, the Yankees Museum and
other in stadium restaurant and bar locations. It ensures that
fans can see the game no matter where they are inside the
stadium complex.
