1. THE ARMOUR OF GOD God’s Will for us Ephesians 6:10-18

2. What is the Armour of God? God's armor brings victory because it is far more than a protective covering. It is the very life of Jesus Christ Himself.

3. What is the Armour of God? This wonderful truth has become reality to all who believe and follow Jesus. When you put on His armor, His life surrounds you and keeps you safe in Him. "Put on the armor," wrote Paul in his letter to the Romans, ”…put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ..." (Romans 13:12-14) When you do, He becomes your hiding place and your shelter in the storm -- just as He was to David. Hidden in Him, you can count on His victory, for He not only covers you as a shield, He also fills you with His life. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Since living in the safety of the armor means oneness with Jesus, we can expect to share His struggles as well as His peace. Remember, God offers us His victory in the midst of trouble -- not the absence pain. So, we should not be surprised at “the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s suffering…” (1 Peter 4:12,13) He is your precious friend, and you are His! So "put on Christ." (Galatians 3:27) He is your victory!

4. How do I “put on” God’s Armour? By knowing and trusting each part of the armour.

5. 1st Piece Belt of Truth God's revelation of all that He is to us, all that He has done for us, and all that He promises to do for us in the days ahead. This wonderful, everlasting TRUTH is written in the Bible, revealed by the Holy Spirit, and realized through Jesus Christ.

6. Belt of Truth It cuts through all the world's distortions, deceptions, and compromises. When you study, memorize, live, and follow TRUTH, He enables you to see the world from God's high vantage point. For He is the Truth! Putting on the first piece of the armor means feeding on truth through daily Bible reading and making it part of yourself. “I am the WAY, TRUTH and LIFE..” John 14:6 Psalms 18:1-3, 23:1 Deuteronomy 4:39

7. Belt of Truth Prayer Thank you, my Lord, for showing us the TRUTH about Yourself, Your plans and Your ways. Thank You for reminding us that You are the only God, the Creator of heaven and earth, the King of the universe, our Father who loves us, and our Shepherd who leads us. You are our wisdom, our counselor, our hope, and our strength. You are everything I need each day! Amen

8. 2nd PieceBreastplate of Righteousness The Breastplate of Righteousness, teaches us to know the truth about The holy and perfect righteousness of Jesus, in those who are "born again" and filled with His Spirit.

9. Affirm Key Scriptures Psalms 97:2; 119:142,172 Romans. 3:21-24, 6:16-18,23 Galatians. 2:20-21 Philippians. 3:8-10 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst for righteousness: for they shall be filled." (Matt. 5:6)

10. Breastplate of RighteousnessPrayer Thank You God, for showing us the truth about ourselves -- that on our own we could never be good enough to live in your presence. Thank you for taking our sins to the cross and offering me your perfect, RIGHTEOUS life. Lord, show us any sin that I need to confess right now, so that nothing will hinder us from being filled to overflowing with your Spirit. Thank you for forgiving us and for filling us with your RIGHTEOUS life. In Jesus Name, Amen!

21. Sword of the Spirit: God’s Word Hebrews. 4:12; Matthew. 4:2-11; 1 Peter. 3:15; John 17:17-19 John 5:39 Psalms. 119:110-112 Psalms 19:7-11 "...the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory...." (John 1:14)

22. Sword of the Spirit, the word of God Prayer Thank you for the scriptures you have given us to memorize. Please show us which one you want us to use to cut through deceptions and gain your victory in any battle we may face today. In Jesus Name, AMEN!

23. 7th Piece Prayer Prayer teaches us the truth about how to communicate to the Divine Sovereign God, who hears and answers all our prayers, according to His will.

The church has joined hands with the world. Reverence to God’s law has been subverted. The religious leaders have taught for doctrine the commandments of men. As it was in the days of Noah, so it is in this age of the world.... The truly loyal will not be carried away by the current of evil.
