4. What are stem cells?
 An undifferentiated cell.
 Divide to produce some offspring cells and some
cells that are destined to differentiate.
 Cell with the ability to divide indefinitely in culture
and with the potential to give rise to mature
specialized cell types.
 Can be obtained from bone marrow, adipose tissue,
blood or embryonic tissue.
