16. My Story
I was diagnosed when I was fourteen years old. I took a blood test
for joint pains and the doctor had asked us to come in the office.
When me and my parents arrived the doctor started to explained to
us that I may have celiac and that I should go for a biopsy. I then
went to a hospital to get the biopsy done. It came back positive for
celiac. That know explained why I was always extremely tired, why
I was nearly always annoyed, irritated, and bothered. I am usually
nauseous after eating gluten. I have and an iron deficiency since I
am eleven years old. I am approximately fifteen pounds over
weight. Which I don’t think is that bad. I have been wearing glasses
since I am five. I know that drinking Arizona and Brisk are the
worst drinks for me to drink, but sadly they were also my favorite. I
am seventeen know. I try to eat gluten free as much as possible. I
stopped wondering why me when I was about fifteen and a half. I
realized that celiac is something I have to live with so why not
embrace it? I don’t let it get to me or bring me down because I
know that things can be worse then what they are. I can only
educate myself now and that’s why I made this PowerPoint. I also
made this PowerPoint to educate others. SAVE A LIFE!
