Don’t wait too long to start your bucket list
by Kent Spoerlein | on April 27, 2013
A couple of years ago I saw a movie called The Bucket List, starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan
Freeman. It was a very humorous story about 2 aging men, both with terminal diseases and both with
a checklist of things they wanted to accomplish before leaving this life (“kicking the bucket”).
Most of us do exactly what they did: wait to start on our bucket list until it’s almost too late to complete
it. The reason we wait is not confined to one reason either. We’re typically too busy trying to make a
living and provide for our families to even think about starting on our own bucket lists.
It seems we often go to work on our children’s bucket lists before we focus on our own. We might
chip away at the list a little but we’re never really fully immersed in the project of completing it
because we have to get back to work, and the daily grind that comes with it.
If you are stuck in a job that will not carry you to a life of abundance – or at least to a position where
you can accomplish many of the things you want to – you may want to seriously consider changing
what you’re currently doing.
I mean now – not in a year or two.
Seriously consider Empower Network within the next 30 days, if not this week. The opportunity is
waiting for you this very moment.
Your bucket list is waiting for you…and the hours and days are ticking by while you remain in a job
you don’t enjoy.
Of course, every one has hobbies or interests or activities they’d “rather be doing”. Unfortunately, job
constraints keep many (most) of us from getting the chance to spend much time doing them. We’re
so busy providing for our family and keeping the boss happy so that we don’t get laid off that we delay
taking some of the most rewarding actions of our lives.
We want you to have a life of abundance. Our motto at EN is “Building a business while having a life”.
Work hard – yes…but the payoff is worth it.
Don’t wait like Jack and Morgan and start on you bucket list so late that you may never finish.
Just do it.
