5. THE TEAM AROUND YOUR CHILD
PARENTS
PASTORAL CARE
As partners in learning, we encourage
parents to be a part of school life.
Pastoral care and special educational
needs are co-ordinated by our Special
Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo),
who is also our Deputy Head.
During the school year there will be
opportunities for you to visit the school, discuss
your child’s progress, join in activities and
contribute your help and skills.
PERIPATETIC STAFF
In Key Stage 2 children are offered music
lessons from specialist teachers who come
into the school regularly.
MOMENTUM
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
Parent Teacher and Friends Association
InsideOut Club runs after school during term
time. Registered with OFSTED, this childcare
facility has its own qualified staff and offers
lots of fun activities.
Parents are invited to get involved in organizing a
wide range of fundraising and social events for the
school community. Funds raisedused to provide
resources for the children and to benefit the school.
Momentum also provides a united voice through the
parent's forum.
SUPPORT STAFF
A friendly presence for the children, ensuring
safe road crossing, security and
maintenance, giving prescribed medicine
and caring for the children at break and
meal times.
TEACHING STAFF
With wide experience and knowledge of
learning theory, our teachers provide
outstanding education and also contribute to
our wider school community.
Joyful and perceptive individuals, our Teaching
Assistants provide observation-linked quality
learning experiences and also have the ability
to play!
GOVERNORS
This team of volunteers works with the school
leadership team to determine the strategic
direction of the school.
