Shortcomings of Design Potential Shortcomings Facebook images are a novelty that don’t translate to behavioral change Limited to users who are familiar with facebook Wearing SPF lip balm will not lead to sunscreen use Personalization of facebook is difficult to scale Design Response Facebook apps such as Causes have shown that activities on facebook can translate to actual behavior change Facebook demographic is rapidly expanding. Reminders also sent as text messages Habit creation starts with a small behavioral change The personalization is key to the effectiveness of the message. Shortcomings of Design Potential Shortcomings Facebook images are a novelty that don’t translate to behavioral change Limited to users who are familiar with facebook Wearing SPF lip balm will not lead to sunscreen use Personalization of facebook is difficult to scale Design Response Facebook apps such as Causes have shown that activities on facebook can translate to actual behavior change Facebook demographic is rapidly expanding. Reminders also sent as text messages Habit creation starts with a small behavioral change The personalization is key to the effectiveness of the message.
